drewb99 0 Posted August 25, 2003 Unfortunately something major has turned up. At MAKS 2003, Kamov has revealed a new model KA60 that's likely the final production model and features a lot of changes from the older ones everyone's seen before. This means a lot of parts of my model have to be re-done and probably retextured, pushing the release back quite a bit http://maks.sukhoi.ru/media/photo/maks2003/maks2003d3050.jpg http://maks.sukhoi.ru/media/photo/maks2003/maks2003d3056.jpg

SpecOp9 0 Posted August 25, 2003 Is that available for download? p.s. I always thought the KA-60 Kasatka was longer than it is inside of that pic Maybey its just the angle
edc 0 Posted August 25, 2003 You could just go ahead and finish it they way it was going to be. And maybe later just change the parts.
drewb99 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Some parts of the model are in need of an overhaul anyway, and besides, you wouldn't want to fly around in a prototype now would you?
edc 0 Posted August 26, 2003 I would if I could get it a lot sooner.
Shadow NX 1 Posted August 26, 2003 Damn why did they changed the nice lil bird looked better before
The Frenchman 0 Posted August 26, 2003 I dont really see a difference.
drewb99 0 Posted August 26, 2003 If you look carefully, some windows are missing and the tail is different, along with a new position for the exhausts and a slightly different engine housing.
Shashman 0 Posted August 26, 2003 Hehe...Perhaps Kamov realised it did look a lot like the Aerospatiale Dauphin and decided to make some changes just to please me...
munger 25 Posted September 27, 2003 Any update on this drewb99?
Sole 0 Posted September 27, 2003 you wouldn't want to fly around in a prototype now would you? Â I didn't mind flying V80's either instead of KA50's
Taconic 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Any update on this drewb99? Agreed. I'd like one as well. I've been waiting for a Ka-60 in OFP forever. Aesthetically speaking, it's my favorite chopper of all time. It would also be nice to see the Russians have something to equal the UH-60... The Mi-17 is a bit... "hoggish." drewb99 0 Posted September 27, 2003 Right now i'm trying to figure out how they manage to cram 18 people in the real thing so that I can do the same
Shadow NX 1 Posted September 27, 2003 LOL, yes same on ours, they must sit on each others lap it seems
MR.Mapper 0 Posted September 28, 2003 perhaps only very thin soldiers are allowed to fly with that chopper
jotte 0 Posted September 28, 2003 The new Kamov gen-designed Spetsnaz dwarfs... not heard about those? Seriously, drew, you mean 2 crew and 16 passengers, right? The specifications say one rifle squad with combat gear and that is something like 10-12 soldiers, which seems more reasonable for the military version. Finnish soldier 0 Posted September 28, 2003 Didn't it actually carrie 16 equipped troops.
