Took off my cammies today for the last time as an active-duty Marine.  

 

The good news is that after completing a screening process that took 2.5 years, I'm waiting on an Academy class seat with a Federal law enforcement agency that will remain nameless.  I'm sure everyone will sleep better knowing that soon I'll be authorized to carry a firearm aboard airplanes.

Hey man congrats! A suggestion for you. Copy your DD-214, and put the original on file at the local courthouse so you don't lose it or get it destroyed. Also, order a copy of your complete service record for your files, copy your medical record for your personal files, and keep that goddamned shot record! This will come in handy down the road and save you a lot of painful shots.
