Yes its here finally.I am moving in the next days and have lifestyle disarray, sorry to flood the OFP community with releases,but it must happen now

Description:

All model Corsairs have internal features to record kills to enemy vehicles, currently only my test addon A6M2 Zero is supported.

Any kills to the A6M2 Zero will give you a "Rising Sun" decal fitted on the lefthand side of your plane,records up to 40 kills!

For you gurus : adding a killed eventhandler to any other vehicle will also activate the killsys recording for the Corsair

Using the killed eventhandler on the Target Vehicle...Heres from the Zero cpp : killed="[_this select 0,_this select 1] exec ""\eca_a6m2\killsys.sqs""";

And the script that it calls:

Doh, I started downloading before he had finished uploading it. kinda wondered why it was only 4 megs. Im off tomarrow so hopefully I will get a mission out tomarrow on wake island so we can all test it out properly. Granted ill have to begin work after I re-download it sad_o.gif

bugs:

canopy does not close automatically when starting in 'flying mode'

when you land and eject you get ejected - when you are in the camel you just jump out...

Yes the canopy only closes when you getin or out,most WW2 pilots I see flying with the canopy open and I like that it stays open actually.

What you mean eject? If you land and shut your engine off the action is "getout" rather than eject,,,you must shut the engine off for this to happen,thats a ofp feature

But there are some bugs or what have you..British has blue canopy,AI will only land with a "disembark" command

Some other things,and please list them here and I will get to them as there is still more that I want to do.For the polished final release

this is by FAR the best aircraft addon mad for OFP to date..the flight model is good and so are textures. the bugs I've noticed is that AI can't fight in it worth a crap. I setup a couple scenarios, A2A and A2G and the results were:

-ai won't attack infantry..this is a BIG deal..maybe uping the threat level of infantry or something would help.

-ai usually drop bombs WAY to early and it takes too many passes for them to engagem, this needs tweaking

-ai doesn't seem to know how to land they just seem to circle the airfield but I've seen this in alot of addon aircraft

-I set up A2A between this and the ju52 and ai wouldn't even chase the 52.

other than these great addon biggrin_o.gif keep up the great work on WWII stuff

*Edit: I was just testing these planes....WOOOT!!!!!!! AMAZING!!!!! Best addons i've seen in a while. The only not so good thingy is the revolver's iron sight, but hey.... i dont really care tounge_o.gif

I noticed the weapons are useable while wings are folded, i thought someone could do the same with the tornado ??

Hi. Great plane biggrin_o.gif

I thought you would want a nother mirror for the plane, so i added it on Base, but as a zip version rather then the .rar version i d/l (hope u dont mind smile_o.gif )

But great plane, have any other WW2 planes in the 'pipeline'?

Glad you guys like it, feel free to report bugs its a helpful process, as for ai to ground engagement, from what ive seen they are pretty good, attacking with machine guns blazing, the rockets can be a bit off though.

A lot of hard work and many hours have gone into this addon by bratty, myself and too tall, so we're glad you all like it smile_o.gif

The rockets being off is good in my opinion, as I think the WW2 era rockets were very unstable because of no fins etc.

I love the job, the aircraft are top notch! The textures on the Korean era model is simply amazing. I love your work and I hope you'll update the Zero sometime soon. But too bad I cant get Wake Island to work sad_o.gif

Yet again I commend you on your great great work biggrin_o.gif

Absolutly great job on that.

You even cant jump out of it when the canopy is closed! Sweet!

Ahh this remembers me of an old TVshow hmm can´t remember the name.

Really hope Zero´s are your next atempt!

Really found no bug untill now and i played almost an hour now. ( i usually find bugs in the first 5-10 min)

hmmmm... the only thing i know:

- Squadron called Blacksheep

- Squadleader was called "papa" (lol i think)

PS: Did the American Corsair ever fight against Nazi planes?

- Does anyone know a good working WWII fighter for the

facists? With working muzzleflash?

Very nice work BraTTy, I love this plane a lot, besides the bugs that peoples posted there, I've didn't found any different so fix them and do an 1.1 version smile_o.gif!
