Yeh Sorry I was talking about the Buccaneer Thanks for that info Thud, I'll sort that out right away. I've been getting an overflow error with the .p3d files in P3D Texture Swap Utility, like they are corrupted or something, but they cant be corrupted because otherwise Footmunch's original plane wouldnt work Any ideas on sorting this out?

Well most of the main RAF aircraft are already created.  The only other ones are helicopters which are being worked on by the Maldivas and Falklands War mod groups.  But God only knows when they'll be finished with their mods.  I expect another 6 months or longer before we see those.  

So I hope someone makes some good RAF helicopters before then.   RAF Lynx and Gazelle helicopters are badly needed.

The Operation Frenchpoint team is about to release their air pack.  I recommend that you ask them if you guys can retexture their helicopters for British forces (since they share some of the same types of helicopters).  They seem like pretty cool guys so I'm sure they'd let you as long as you ask them and give them proper credit.  Wouldn't hurt to ask anyways.   Then Colorchanger is supposed to release his RAF Tornado, but he kinda disappeared and nobody knows for sure when he's releasing that one.  Then there is the Falklands Mod Harrier, but again, the final version won't be released until the whole mod is done.

But as for new models... well let's see...  

The Hunter is of coarse a classic and beautiful RAF aircraft.

There are also a few other interesting aircraft like the Canberra.

There's also the VERY COOL looking NIMROD aircraft used in long range maritime patrols.  It is armed with Harpoon missiles and torpedoes so it could use the CoC torpedoes in it.  

I once got to see one close up at an airshow and it is just the wierdest but coolest looking large aircraft I've ever seen.

 

Then of coarse there's the up and coming Eurofighter.

Kewl! I hope Footmunch helps ya'all out. The Nimrod will be quite a challenge to model as it has a ton of wierd stuff sticking out. LOL! By that I mean the thing is just stuffed with antennaes, pods, some wierde probe above the cockpit and all kinds of other odd bits.

But I think it's the perfect addon for the CoC Torpedoes and it can be a fleet defender for the HMS Hermes to keep those nasty Russian ships away.

Yeah. That's I was guessing. It's a super cool design. Whoever designed that airplane definitely made a very classy looking design.

That super Cool design is based on the Comet, the Worlds first commercial Airliner, and its British!!!

Also how Many Nimrod Varations will you be trying??? I know theres quite a few, Will you do a MR-4A (if you do it may see virtual service before the real one :-) )

I'm not sure yet, its just an idea really so far It would be nice to do a Vulcan as well- it could carry one of those nukes in the new CoC pack coming out (correct me if I have the wrong pack). It'd be a relatively simple aircraft to make as well- nice easy shape I imagine

p.s- nolips I've sent you an email with the link for those hunter textures (they're ok, but the colour got a bit crap when converting them to .pac and .paa- they might look ok ingame though)

Hey did you know the British used these in combat dropping conventional bombs during the Falklands War?   I didn't know that.  Info at:

Yeh I think we flew one all the way over to the Falklands (with lots of inflight refueling) and then attacked a runway. I'm not sure if the attack was perfect, but it was basically just to show the Argentinians that we could attack anywhere in the world and that not even the Falklands is too far away for the british forces

For the RAF aircraft what about the Valiant the other 'V' bomber and the RAF's (now abandonned in favour of the E-3D AWACS) homegrown AEW aircraft the Nimrod AEW3. How cool does this look?
