theavonlady 2 Posted May 12, 2003 *cough* have you all forgotten? *cough* You get up to a silly fence and then what? Blow it up with a nade when you're on a stealth mission? Ugh! We need wire cutters and the ability of AI to follow through such narrow openings. The latter is a general AI problem with OFP. While we're at it, how about electrified fences and electronic sensored fences that detect contact?
stgn 39 Posted May 12, 2003 year that would be cool then then need for enginers would be big. STGN

Postduifje 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Great idea. These are the kind of details that would make OFP2 even more legendary than the first part.
Baron Hurlothrumbo IIX 0 Posted May 12, 2003 engineers in OFP1 have mines, thats how they differ to normal soldiers.
Heatseeker 0 Posted May 12, 2003 The way we interact in the opf worlds aint the best, we cant shoot and destroy objects, bullet holes dont show on walls, trees, etc, i dunno if this can be implemented and it would kinda feel SWAT3/Splinter cell kinda feature, ya know tactical cqb . LT.Schaffer 0 Posted May 12, 2003 Great Idea Avon Just to add to it: i think we should also have security cameras at let's say the checkpoints that way if you don't take out the camera on a stealth mission and the guards who are watching see you they will send troops to the checkpoint to take you out! dm 9 Posted May 14, 2003 Indeed, tools like wire cutters would be great. Especially on proper maps when the objective has security fencing (barbed wire) all the way round the perimeter (unlike the airfields on Malden and Everon) It would add a new dimension to the game, as who wants to charge up to the main gate all the time?? Wire cutters would be a great feature, as the thicker the fence or the more barbed wire it has the longer it takes to cut through. That way you would have to do "proper" black ops missions, not just blasting in rambo style. Another thing that could be useful is lockable doors, that way we might be able to use the MasterKey for its intended purpose

Jester983 0 Posted May 15, 2003 I like that idea avon. I bet the electric fence part could be scripted by one of us. I think (maybe someone said this) there should be a normal fence but once its cut the enemey is alerted to that part of the fence. Perhaps this too could be done by scripting.
