Yes, I do intend to make the weapons JAM compatible. The PBOs are going to be seperate to make updating individual sections easier. This will also enable me to Binairze the models to not only protect them from 'unauthorised borrowing' but reduce the filesize.

Well, I've added a new unit type, but I'm not going to release details of it for a while, just to keep you wondering. I've also updated a lot of the weapons. I'm uploading screenshots as I type this, so expect an update very soon with a link to the new images.

EDIT: OK, the images can be found here. They are just of the Desert Recon at the moment, but I plan to take further images later in the week. Post whatever feedback you have, I appreciate it and will take it into consideration.

the units look great!! my only suggestions or gripes are the medic..u should REALLY get rid of all those red crosses on the uniform, helmet and arm...special ops...let alone conventional units don't run around with big "shoot me" red crosses on them just put maybe one red cross on a buttpack or something the medic looks highly unrealistic the way it is now and also maybe adding a wrinkled effect to the bush hats would look nice too...my two cents biggrin_o.gif

OK reconmercs, I'll work on your requests/comments, but I intend to keep the patch on the guy's chest, and will most likely remove the arm-band and the helmet symbol (I've also included a medic symbol on the 'buttpack' which isn't visible in the image).

Anyway, if you keep checking http://sjb.ofprc.net/SRT2/Images/newimages/ every few days you should see some new images of the SRT/Recon units and the weapons they will be using in V2.0 of the pack.

I think I posted a similar link before, but use this instead as its the base link, where you can access all sub-folders without clicking on several 'Parent Directory' links.

You'll be pleased to hear ruff the two officers are seperate units, so if you don't like the beret, you can just use the one with the cap instead, or vice-a-versa.

Yes, they will all carry the updated Beretta 92Fs from the Handgun Pack.

OK, I've uploaded several new images of the unitsweapons, most worthy of note is this image, which features a before and after contrast of the newly added animated goggles wearing unit. I am still fine tuning the positions and sizing so expect the final version to look a lot better. Check it out and tell me what you think.

im already predicting these units are going to be used more in my missions than bas delta/rangers since they look spec ops

looks great but i wouldnt know the proper way in which goggles are meant to be put, i guess trust bas where they put the goggles

Yes, they should be compatible with the BAS choppers' dust scripts. I am still performing tests upon compatibility etc. but all being well they should wrok fine.

Anyway, I've decided to release a little more information on one of the "mystery units" added for v2.0

If you check out this image you'll see a compilation image of the Recon/SRT units wearing the new gasmask, which can be worn/taken off via the action menu. The image is about one week old, and several improvements have been made since, I will update the image in due course. In the mean time, post any feedback you may have here.

Can i suggest the MCU 2A/P Gas Mask or the M45 Gas Mask   ?

and how about a "hood" for the head?

Thankyou for your input. The current gasmask is unlikely to make it into the final version (unless it is highly requested that it is kept). It will hopefully be replaced by a newer, better looking model as soon as I get around to making it. It has thus far only served as a test for the actions/script etc.

I am very tempted to introduce an M16A3/4 Pack too. I've already begun on a few models as a side venture. I'll upload a few images in a short while.

EDIT: I've only had time to take two images, both are of the 'basic' (no modifications e.g. ACOG Scope or aimpoint) M16A4 and can be found see later post

Check them out and let me know what you think of them, and whether or not I should include them with the SRT/Recon units.

A suggestion in relation to the gasmask;

add a "gasmask view" to it. Like the visor on BAS' SOAR tinting your view, you could have a view that is somewhat like the binocular to give you a feeling of wearing a gasmask.

I also have another idea mabye for a future release. Give the SRT team a riot shield (no this idea did not come from CS I've always wanted it) I dont know how it would be done but it would be a cool idea IMO. And possibly tear gas for them too, these guys look like hardcore anti-terrorist so why no equip them as so. Good job man, I love you work.

Might work, but some restrictions need to be defined, such as;

-when using the shield, you should only not be able to go to prone position

-armor value should be increased by script when using it (maybe only to the front torso and front of the head)

stuff like that. It's harder than you think. I don't think you can give an armor value to the shield itself, unless it's a pert of the soldier model.
