Matthijs 40 Posted March 22, 2003 The topic title says SBS, but this addon has no country specific markings or naming. Time to release may still take quite some time, as a lot remains to be done on wound textures and the swimming equipment. Technology tests look promising though. The swimming system will be designed as an open standard, to allow mission makers and addon makers to add other equipment/unit types. Col. Klink has shown interest in this system, to provide his Harrier (and Lynx?) pilots with at least some chance of survival, when ejecting over water.

Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted March 22, 2003 So this is your little secret project, right?? Well, looks/sound great to me. ** little off-topic ** Swimming will be a great addon. I'm sure that BAS will be very interested in this for their Seal's pack (I bet they'll contact you soon, if they haven't done that already). (very nice for Spec-ops missions on the Ia Drang Valley map) **back to topic** Will you make units with helmets?? I like to see them with two types of helmets; 1) the helmet also used be seal teams (a non-balllistic one) which is used be swimmers in the SBS. (Pro-tec helmets) 2) the helmet that is used on boarding operations (by helicopter insertion); the AC100 Now, I'm sure I don't have to tell you which helmets they use, since I have the info from your site (bbemariniers), but I my question is if you will make SBS-units with AC100 helmets (and cool looking red Carrera goggles) or only with Pro-tec type helmets?? Did I say the screenshots look great? oh, I did? Well let me say it again; It looks great.
Silent N Deadly 0 Posted March 23, 2003 Wow.....errr, wow. I am at the loss of words. When you eject do you change into the costume or whatever and then you float? An then when a helicopeter (Martin's Bell 47 that floates) land next to you can you board it? WOW
coporal_punishment 0 Posted March 23, 2003 this is cool finally when u eject over water you can float it'll be great for in gaqme movies but useless if you eject in a mission and you havn't catered for a helicopter to pick up up for the mission

Cpt. FrostBite 0 Posted March 23, 2003 Very nive for SOF insertions; A helicopter flying fast and low over the water with SOF jumping out one after the other. This is one of the ways in which they (can) deploy seals. Normally this would kill you (in the game, I mean). To Matthijs; Ok on the helmets. But I do think that when SBS units are deployed by helicopter they wear the AC100 (or no helmet al all) and the carrere goggles (and not the diver goggles). But I don't like to put to much pressure on you, so just finish the swimmers first). And will you make your own weapons?? Like the MP5(N).

PFC Mongoose 0 Posted March 25, 2003 Stupid question time: I assume the full CoC modification will be Resistance-only, but will this swimming feature? Because... hell, it's damned cool.
blackdog~ 0 Posted March 25, 2003 I'm guessing the wetsuit isnt the same as this one: ftp://www.gamezone.cz/ofpd/unofaddons/IGW_WetSuitB1.zip Since it's by walker, i'm guessing you added all kinds of snazzy (I like that word) new features to it?

As Walker's original wetsuit was a vehicle, you couldn't hide it anywhere, let alone walk around in it. I wanted the player to be able to hide or stow away his diving equipment, or just walk around with it. That is what this addon will be like: you are walking around with the rebreather or scooba equipment on you. Get in the water, and you'll swim, much like the normal parachute works: Get out of an aircraft, and the parachute opens. </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">Stupid question time: I assume the full CoC modification will be Resistance-only, but will this swimming feature?
