Shadow NX 1 Posted May 4, 2004 http://www.sga-clan.de/bisforums/preview7.jpg Is it Russel Crowe? Â Yes it is, custom face made by Liquid Snake. I find it is one of his best, very realistic looking.
AKM 0 Posted May 4, 2004 Quote[/b] ]Will your troops have RPG-7's? Ones that can hit helos. And RPD's and PK's? I cannot and I won't speak for the RHS team, but I can say that the RPG-7 [Generally with some kind of optics for it, so RPG-7V, etc.] is very common amongst Russian troops, moreso than an RPG-29 or an RPG-16d, for example. The RPD is out of service I believe, it's been replaced with the RPK-47 and RPK-74 weapons - both of which can also handle a drum magazine. The PK and PKMs also see extensive use, obviously. I'd like to hear a definitive answer from the RHS Team on this matter of issued weapons. Perhaps some screenshots of the RHS Weapons Pack? *Looks hopeful* -AK
Shadow NX 1 Posted May 4, 2004 in general there will be: AKM,AKMS,AK-74,AKS-74,AKS-74U,AK-74M,RPK-74,PKM,SVD,SVDS,AS Val,VSS,Bizon Pistols: PM, Stechkin, maybe some others too like PB, PSS etc. Launchers: RPG-7,RPG-7V,RPG-16d,RPG-29, RPO Heavy weaps & Weaps on tripods: Kord, NSvT, PKMS, AGS-17 Possibly there will be some more weaps but its as usual a question of time and many other factors. hellfish6 7 Posted May 4, 2004 Are you going to make custom groups found in the motor rifle battalions? Like a motor rifle squad with correct equipment and BMP? A motorized AGS team, a machinegun section, air defense secton with associated transport, etc? I think a template mission would be cool as well, where you place within the missionn all the forces that can be found inside the battalion, so the mission designer can pick and choose what he wants while remaining within the proper MRB organization, and also so that the prospective mission maker gets a good idea of what kind of support is available to the MRB. Just a thought.
norsu 180 Posted May 4, 2004 How about the Pecheneg (newer version of PKM)? Although it isn't in widespread use yet, here's a pic of an airborne soldier using it . http://www.mil.ru/dyn_images/img5672

AKM 0 Posted May 5, 2004 I'm all for HellFish's idea. It'll save time, or you could distribute ORBAT's for a Russian Federation Motor-Rifle Battalion, down to platoon and squad level. With regards to weapons, they will have "New & Improved" sights right? Accurate reticles and the like? -AK

Yeah, that's what I guessed but I wasn't sure... therego I asked for clarification. Everything looks top-notch, I hope we can get at some equally kickass American regulars in the near future to pit these guys against. -AK

AKM 0 Posted May 6, 2004 This looks like it is from FM-100-60, designating a Soviet-style formation. I'm gonna say that its still useful, although on-paper types and numbers of kit will have changed for Russian Federation troops. -AK
