desantnik 0 Posted February 23, 2003 This pack is very good, especially for a beta.:D Here are a few things I noticed. The quilted pants on all the soldiers need to be replaced with normal (non quilted/padded ones) Are the soldiers able to hold guns in the game because the pistols do not show up. The original tokarev is already very close to its ww2 counterpart so wouldnt the Officers have it? I am sure that DimaS will write you something.... Overall this pack is a dream come true for me , but now I have a little suggestion.... For womens day March 8th would you by chance create a Sovet Women medic? They were very comman throughout the war, and you would do a favor to the female players of this game ..... That is if time allows, I dunno just a suggestion.... Thanks! desantnik 0 Posted February 23, 2003 Heres a pic: The tank is not in the pack it is made by Steam. I just thought it added a kind of atmosphere
CanadianTerror 0 Posted February 23, 2003 So far, the only "bug" I've found is a white effect on the muzzle flash when you zoom in with the Mosin. I think overall that the pack is great though  It's too bad the T-34 is for the east side  ...and offtopic, those new German tank crew are for the west!? crewcutkid 0 Posted February 23, 2003 AMAZING! IM STUPEFIED!!!!! -Crew

Some kind of standard would be perfect. Of course, with little trouble one can dePBO an addon an change sides but that's not too user-friendly.
stoppelhopser 0 Posted February 23, 2003 we had a discussion about that matter on the ww2ec board: when i had to decide where to put my landsers to i went for east because there weren´t any russian units yet and all available american units have been assigned to west, naturally... now the russians where actually friendly to americans and enemies to the germans in ww2, and that, regarding ofp, sounds like resistance pretty much... during cold war crisis there was mainly two sides, east(communism) and west(capitalism). but in ww2 there were some more nations involved, and there´s the problem i am just working on an extra "addon" to define my addons for every side so the mission makers can decide what side to use... i also read some complaints about different weapons hardcoded to the addons... well as far as i know you can just use "removeallweapons" and assign the ones u wanna use... cheerz
USMC Sniper 0 Posted February 23, 2003 I have a few probs with the pack: -The faces of the men are very, very blurry -there are no blood textures Besides that, superb pack! Also a good decision to use Upminder's WW2 weapons!
DracoPaladore 0 Posted February 24, 2003 I've been waiting for this for a longgg time! I can't wait to try em out!
desantnik 0 Posted February 24, 2003 Stoppelhopser; Thanks for your amazing pack but let suggest that you make normal summer uniforms for the Russian soldiers. They would need a Gymnasterka and haversack and regular trousers.
CanadianTerror 0 Posted February 24, 2003 @Stoppel What do you think you will put into the next release exactly? I'm just curious as I'm sure others are as well.
zverushka 0 Posted February 25, 2003 I havea couple of problems with this. --- blurry faces --- no blood! --- No DPM (I put it in in the init column but its tedious) --- The soldiers always shoot the PPSh on single mode. In reality, there was no fire selector except for the safety and soldiers always fired full auto. Otherwise, AMAZING! This is one of the best addons I've seen. I made a small mission involving partisans and ambushes. OFP is unsuitable for the eastern front battles because there were WAYYY too many men, but its perfect for guerilla activity. USMC Sniper 0 Posted February 25, 2003 Stoppelhopser, this is how you get ppl to fire on full auto: aiRateOfFire=0.8 (whatever your rof is for the gun, must be in the gun's config tho) aiRateOfFireDistance=10; ( I believe its the amount of bullets they fire in a volley, not sure) Hopefully you get them to use fullauto. stoppelhopser 0 Posted February 25, 2003 @Zwerushka & USMCSniper: i´m not responsible for any weapon issues. they are Upminder´s weapons. as for the rest... good tips, but this is still a beta which brings me to: @CanadianTerror: next release will bring: - more model detail - corrected textures - tunic uniform type units - standard breeches instead of wadded pants - medic unit - removed "show-pants-though-coat-on-some-anims" bug - units available for every side also the units have only one lod. but the lower res lods will have to wait for the final
stoppelhopser 0 Posted February 25, 2003 oh and i believe the "aiRateOfFireDistance" parameter says how near targets have to be so ai shots at them. if you put in 10 as a value i guess ai won´t fire until target is in 10m radius around it
DracoPaladore 0 Posted February 25, 2003 I just love this add on. With your Landser guys fighting these guys, its hella fun. Especially when charging towards an MG42, which I beleive you did very well. Its accuracy is low, but the AI who fires it goes all out. Meaning you get that cool random effect and such. Very, very good job. I just love this add-on and I can't wait until you get the next release.
stoppelhopser 0 Posted February 25, 2003 thanks i´ll bring an mg42 with better textures soon...
