Editorupdate 1.2

Recommended Posts

Hey everyone... right now I am adding some more objects not previously in the editor updates by Kegetys, Peterele, and Gunslinger.

eupdate-small.gif

So far I have:

Objects>Trash Bin (Res)

Objects>Hay Bale (Res)

Objects>Dock Tie (Res)

Objects>Bulletin Board 1/Papers (Res)

Objects>Bulletin Board 2/Papers (Res)

Objects>Bulletin Board 3/Blank (Res)

Objects>Bin/Box Blue (Res)

Objects>Bin/Box Metal/Worn (Res)

Objects>SIGN Curve Right (Res)

Objects>SIGN Curve Left (Res)

Support>Bridge 2 (Res)

Camera>TREE Stump w/ Axe (Res)

In no particular order... not in the same order of the GIF animation at least. Also some more lightpoles will be added to this list. It is a relatively small upgrade smile.gif

PS:

Why don't you create this as a separate pbo file? That way, if there are any problems, they can delete your till it's fixed, rather than having to restore the existing EU file? confused.gif

May I suggest you drop the "102", as it's not relevant to your addons and explicitly name the file something like EditorUpdateBlackdog.

That way, if someone else comes along and releases their own EU, you've set the trend. Just adding a "b" at the end doesn't help to easily identify the addon.

What's the P3D-name of that "Bridge 2"? I couldn't find it from that O.pbo model name list that was posted on OFPEC.

Which editor upgrade did you use?

One of gunslinger's earlier versions used to cause me all sorts of trouble, but since I've used Kegetys version I've had no probs...

"I think" isn't good enough.

Both Kegetys' Editor Addon for OFPR and the older Gunsliner's EU have the same file name.

So, I suggest that you verify that you only have Kegetys' installed and that you DO NOT place it in \RES\Addons but rather in \AddOns or in a mod\Addons subfolder.

Put the editorupdate102 in the regular addons folder and not in the res\addons

I had the same problem and was fixed that way.

Cheers

Why is that? the RES\ADDON folder is imho for running RES with add ons, and the normal ADDON folder for running Coldwar?

I have ALL in RES\ADDON and dont have problems seen..

Maybe you should redo the whole thing from both editors and make it were all the objects are in their own classes ie Houses, Rocks, Trees, Roads ect. so they arent in the other classes like support and objects and get in the way?

That was a tad rude dont you think? tounge.gif

Yes I made sure now that it's Keg's, and it is in the ofp addon folder and not the Res. one. biggrin.gif

You are lucky, then.

Some addons, when loaded from the RES\Addons folder before other official addons are loaded may cause conflicts and errors.

By placing them outside of the \RES\Addons folders, OFP with load them into memory last and they will not conflict with the standard OFP addons.
