Albert Schweitzer 10 Posted January 20, 2003 I stick to OFP for serious talks, but there are other fori out there where I can freely insult other people and through this I make sure I am relaxed when returning to OFP-Offtopic. And yes 99% of all my posts are offtopic. And strange but true but I guess the most loyal members are to be found here anyway. I hope this board survives... C'mon you guys, what's with the frequent nitpicking on spelling, especially towards people who's native language isn't English? It isn't very fair, I'm sure Albert won't get many chances to correct your German Interestingly enough, I never frequented any forums before this one. I occasionally also read the Il-2 forums as well but hardly ever join in.
PiNs_Da_Smoka 0 Posted January 21, 2003 Hehe.....the only reason that I nitpick about spelling is because i'm very obsessive compulsive about it. Also about even numbers, and everything being left to right. May sound wierd, but i don't feel like explaining it. Point is, i have my reasons for nitpicking about spelling. Warin 0 Posted January 21, 2003 I've got 60 some odd posts on Slashdot, and about 150-160 on the Anandtech forums. Â Umm.. mebbe a couple dozon on the AA forums, and other than here, that's it. I have to say that I have stuck around here because in spite of some heated arguements, I find the average poster here is head and shoulders more mature and intelligent than anywhere else I've gone. Die Alive 0 Posted January 23, 2003 I love to check out PETA2.org forums and laugh at how complicated they make their lives by being vegan. I also use to go to www.fuckedcompany.com everyday, to see the latest news on all those .com busts. Some very funny posts there. I got banned from IGN.com boards (back when it was free for everyone to be a forum member, now its like $25 per year) so i got banned for defending OFP, console gamers were saying stuff like PC games are too hard and complicated, there's too many buttons to use, using the keyboard and mouse for FPS suck, and on and on. Then there was this one guy who went on OFP for days from just playing the demo, saying like how unrealistic it is to die from one bullet, how long it takes to get to the action if you got to run "over 100 mountains and through 100 forests to get to the fight", and how his Playstation games get better fps than OFP, and how few buttons you have to memorize to play games on a PS.... so I just told him to shove his PS up his ass and got banned. Now they want $25 a year to join their forums, lol ya sure. -=Die Alive=-

mr. Duck 0 Posted January 24, 2003 This is me main forum. <=== check for number of posts here For the rest: 21 posts at volitionwatch (FS2 babylon 5 mod) some dozen posts at AA forum 1 post at Operation Northstar And that's about it. I think... </span><table border="0" align="center" width="95%" cellpadding="3" cellspacing="1"><tr><td>Quote </td></tr><tr><td id="QUOTE">saying like how unrealistic it is to die from one bullet<span id='postcolor'> Exactly, it is I once played the most realistic game in the world (MOHAA) and I played one level and at the end you get a list of how many times you've catched a bullet. I took on average 2-3 bullets when a German shelled me and I'd still wouldn't die. Now that's realistic (right...) Besides a human won't die when he get's something like a .50 bullet in his head right? That's just not possible
FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 25, 2003 Men never die because of bullets! They die of shock, because someone dared to hurt them Did I mention, that my third name is Mario and that I grew up after hitting a "questionmark-box" with my head and eating a mushroom? That`s a lot faster than normal puberty The only thing that bothers me are the angry koopas everwhere

FallenPaladin 0 Posted January 25, 2003 LOL That brought back memories... It was in 88/89 I guess when the Gameboy had just been released. I was really stuck to Super Mario Land that time. I was able to finish the game and after that it got harder and you had to start from the beginning again. But after completing it the second time, the difficulty settings stayed the same. I was able to finish Super Mario Land in a loop which only ended when I ran out of battery
