Gollum1 0 Posted December 22, 2002 I haven´t noticed any problems or improvements with DX9, except that my Radeon 8500 T&L bug is fixed! Up to now, you couldn´t run OFP in HW T&L with a Radeon 8500 if you didn´t want textures flashing white occasionally. You also missed out on the cool lighting effects introduced in 1.60. But I downloaded DX9, the newest drivers for my card and the newest VIA drivers, now it works like a charm!

Mister Frag 0 Posted December 23, 2002 Regarding Alt-Tab problems with DX9, make sure that you use a driver for your card that is ready for it -- that means Catalyst 3.0 or Detonator 41.09, for example.

Mister Frag 0 Posted December 23, 2002 If you need to remove DirectX 9 from a Windows XP or Windows .NET system, take a look in the Troubleshooting forum -- I added a post with a link to a DirectX 9 uninstaller specifically for these two operating systems.
