Tex -USMC- 0 Posted February 26, 2004 How do I pan using my hat switch on my joystick? Its frustrating using the snap views. But I'm lookin into TrackIR2 maybe. check yer key mappings, there should be a toggle between snap and pan in there somewhere.
Sole 0 Posted February 27, 2004 F9, only drawback is that it goes in steps rather than smooth (with my stick at least) (oh and yes, I finally got IL2FB )
GoOB 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Wee! Just replaced the connecting end of my power cable, it now looks very homemade since one part is white, and the other one is black, thinking about mounting a switch on it so I can turn the power supply off when I am not using the stick.... @Sole, good to hear. Maybe if I get my firewall sorted out we can join the rest of the SSG guys when they are playing IL2FB. They used to do it all the time, not sure about now though
Baron von Beer 0 Posted February 27, 2004 To use your hat for smooth, non snap panning(or any hat if you have more than one, like on a throttle, etc) you can use a program called NewView. It uses a hat to emulate mouse movement, and you can set some other controls too (Like snap to front, snapt to instrument (each returning to where you looked orginaly) move view to front, etc. I will have to dig up the URL, but will post it once I do. (Unless someone else happens to have it )
Sole 0 Posted February 27, 2004 did a google search and this is what came up first. I'll try it, thanks
GoOB 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Gearing up for IL2FB multiplayer I have two questions: What ports are generally used when hosting games? Last time I tried to join/create a game I was unable due to my firewall settings. Wich ports should I open?
Baron von Beer 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Are you running through Hyperlobby, or just by IP? For just IL2:FB, you need to open port 21000 in both TCP & UDP. If you are running through Hyperlobby as well, add 1698 (think just TCP, but if not, then both. ) *mentioned app* Link to NewView (view panning application) New view & guide at Mudmovers Has a good guide for it there. Sole 0 Posted February 27, 2004 Heh Baron, didn't I post that link on the previous page? Anyway, I love the ease of making new skins for this game, did a quick test on the P39 with this being the result: pic (not really detailed, but hey, I'm having fun )
Baron von Beer 0 Posted February 28, 2004 Perhaps if I hadn't been too lazy to go to the previous page when posting, I would have caught that.

I've visited the forums about 3 times in the last....dunno... 8 months or something like that Not enough time to check out forums... I spend whole my days in school and the last thing i want to do is sit in front of the computer after a day of school I check my mail daily and spend some time on MSN but that's pretty much it... Just thought i'd take a look at the forum again, just to see how it's doing... Baron von Beer 0 Posted March 2, 2004 Where's the escort?!? There should be no less than an entire fighter group escorting a plane carrying such a precious cargo.
Tovarish 0 Posted March 3, 2004 On a more serious (and much more useful0 note, I just found this great little application: Il-2 compare v2.3 It graphically compares flight envelopes of the aircraft in IL-2 Forgotten Battles. Looks like the perfect tool for anyone who likes to fly "by the numbers". BTW, the question marks you will see in the disclaimer are meant to be the same as the English disclaimer, but in Russian. Sole 0 Posted March 3, 2004 I love the damagemodel 2.31mb video My intention was to gun him down, but I turned too sharp and lost sight so I thought I allready passed him, then I noticed "engine inoperable" and a few moments later getting a kill message. It was until I saw the replay that I realised what really happened
Tovarish 0 Posted March 4, 2004 I see supah's also made a nogovan skin for the Me-262 . Hey, we could have a whole airforce here. Hey supah, think I could get one like that made for a Yak-9D?
