I thought it might be a good idea to start a thread where people post links to the best free "stuff" relating to computers and OFP, as many of the newbies here seem to have some trouble with posting pics, taking screenshots etc.

Obviously no warez or pirated software, please!

Here are some examples:

Image hosting: http://www.imgstudio.com. Free and reliable image hosting. Only downside is a small logo in the bottom right corner.

Compression tool: PowerArchiver. Handles ZIP and also RAR files.

Screenshot utiltiy: Clipboard picture saver (can't find a link, but I remember one of the regs here has a link in his sig)

Pic Viewer: ACDSee

Anyway, you get the idea...any contributions, please feel free.

GrabClipsave is a very good screenshot program. It is free and

doesnt modify the pics a bit. Adjustable output settings and various other settings suported. I use it since i got OFP

This is where I upload pics now I dont use it and dont edit it, dont download my island cause its just a small square and a road to an airport ;P this server is an Spray server and is very slow but you are allowed to upload 50MB's My first islands

This is my currently projects here I will have all information about my island that I'm working on I will also add a page about OFP IRC and this server is good you are allowed to upload 20 MB's well I will use my sisters cellphone number to have another page on this server.

And here you can upload 10MB's files and how many files you want.

I cant upload there cause I dont know why.

2things:

First IrfanView is this totally free image program.  You can't edit the images but you can save/open like a gazillion different formats.

Second the MOHAA SP demo is pretty good(Its fun to feel like your made out of titanium, and can carry 10 different weapons, once in a while   )

Free pop-up stopper.

Doesn't stop banner ads, but the annoying pop up ones. It really just stops any other explorer windows from being opened, but if you hold the ctrl button there's no problems.

It's a small inconvenience, but more than makes up for it getting rid of the pop ups.

Unforunetly I can get Steel Panthers. The only palce you can seem to get it from is Gamesdomain and none of their download links are working.

The links seem to be FTPs so your probably better of using an FTP-client than trying to download via a web-browser. I did a quick test with FlashFXP and tried to connect to two different servers. One of the UK placed servers was busy but I was able to connect to the Swedish FTP. No passwords or usernames were required, just used anonymous login. My browser (IE 6.0) couldn´t connect to anything, GetRight or some other download manager might also work.
