ATC Guardian 5 Posted October 30, 2016 I noticed this issue started after update 1.64, so I think that is when the bug got added when the search function also got added to Zeus. A lot of the objects that were able to be placed are not showing up for Zeus to place anymore. It looks liek they aren't missing entirely, they are just missing from the Zeus list. Most notably, off the top of my head: Objects like sandbags and hbarriers. There is also others that I can't remember, and who knows how many other missing items that I haven't come across yet. Although, it sometimes seems that issues in Zeus does not get a lot of attention. e.g. issues reported by me: - Cycle waypoint position bug: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T85817 - Land waypoint does not work: https://feedback.bistudio.com/T116699 (I even found a solution for that one and implemented it in Ares Mod - Achilles Expansion, but it is still not fixed in vanilla) So far I have only observed the issue for the vanilla Zeus game master maps. I can see compositions and empty objects on my custom Zeus maps. If I have some time, I want to investigate it further, since it is definitely a severe issue. silentghoust 132 Posted November 1, 2016 To get the custom units. You need to switch your Zues GM module to "all addons(including unoffical)". If that doesn't work drop a Addon manager module, sync 1 of each group of units(1 infantry, 1 vehicle, ect) and then simply delete them on mission int. digitalgeo 21 Posted November 11, 2016 Hi, I'd like to support this issue as structure placement in Official Zeus servers has been removed. The feature I looked forward to the most was the ability to search items in the Zeus interface in 1.64. I said to myself "Wow, with this feature, I could finally build bases much faster". Base building in Zeus took time, and players were impatient. Then 1.64 came out, along with the search ability. "Yes, I can't wait to try- hang on, where's the buildings?" I said during an official Zeus server session. Turns out you could no longer place the majority of empty objects. Even the pre-built compositions :( Since update 1.64 removed the thing search was useful for: Base building. Why are Zeus objects missing? Its a bug! As far as I've heard from rumors, 1.64 removed empty object placement because Game Masters were "trapping players". However these are only rumors. But if this is the case, then I think the devs have overreacted. I personally don't see trapping happen, probably because of the omnipotent power of vote kick. If it does, then I believe its rare. There are far more common problems out there (such as the dick Game mod). The closest definition to "trapping" I've encountered is in PvP Zeus. By default there are 3 teams, but sometimes the Game Master's scenario only accommodates 2 teams. So the 3rd team's spawn is placed inside a box far away. This seems fair, as long the the 3rd team has an objective called "Please switch teams" for JIP's. The second explanation is here in feedback tracker. In summary, a Game Master who happens to place an Apex structure on Altis or Stratis, prevents non-Apex players from joining the server. This is an annoying problem. By removing object placement, Game Masters can't place Apex structures and so can't lock the server. If this is the case, then there should at least be access to pre-built compositions as these don't have apex structures. Regardless of the reason, Game Masters can no longer build place structures (in Official servers). I will miss the ability to create underwater bases or placing roadblocks. oOKexOo 237 Posted November 15, 2016 I don't think it was remove on purpose. BIS would have made a clear statement. Furthermore, base building is critical to Zeus Game play. It's basically the main reason I won't consider joining official servers atm. So far my crude invstigation led to the conclusion that the issue (whether intended or not) is caused by the curator cost modules.
