Jester983 0 Posted November 5, 2002 woah woah woah guys. Can we please stick to the topic. This is about hunting. Wheter you like hunting or not. This is not about bull fighting and what horrible things they do to them. If you feel the need to talk about how cruel people are to bulls please take it to another thread/place. Id like to hear some hunting stories. Not what they do to bulls to piss them off. Thanks.
Lazarus_Long 0 Posted November 5, 2002 I never had the opportunity to go out hunting, but I have many friends who seem to enjoy it. Â For you anti-hunters in here, I really don't see what the big deal is. Â As long as it's done responsibly with the proper respect for mother nature I don't have a problem with it. Down here in the Florida panhandle where we have a bit of a redneck overpopulation problem, hunting can get downright dangerous. Â The designated hunting areas get very crowded during deer season and it is not uncommon for hunters to get themselves shot in the cross-fire. Â This is the main reason why I haven't tried hunting yet. I'd love to go bird hunting someday. Â Ducks and Pheasants specifically. Â My old neighbour from way back brought home some pheasants that he shot one weekend and it had to be the most delicious thing I had ever eaten. Â Game ducks are also incredible if they are cooked the right way and served with some orange or rasberry sauce. Â I'm getting hungry just thinking about it. Â Bird shooting seems kind of like skeet shooting, which I have done before and enjoyed thouroughly. Â Next time I visit my friend in Minnesota during duck season I'll have to talk him into bringing me with him.
Blake 0 Posted November 5, 2002 I have nothing against hunting but the firepower of modern firearms don't give any chance to the prey. What's the point of shooting deer with semi-automatic rifle with 15x sniper scope from something like 500 meters away when you could use iron sights instead for some challenge. Some people still actually hunt with blackpowder rifles with the 'one shot, one kill or nothing' attitude. But maybe we'll be settle our scores with the nature in OFP as the secret of animating things is discovered and rabbits etc. might become possible. I'd use the Kozlice in that case

Most hunters in Norway agree that good hunting ethics benefits the animals. The reason why it is hard to pass the hunters test is to make sure the hunters know what they are doing. Many people have never hunted before and could for example kill a rare bird allready threatened by extinction or kill the a reindeer cow and leaving her two calves starving. It has nothing to do with your silly remark about pinko-communie government. By the way, the government in Norway is a coalition of the conservative party and the Christian peoples party. cybrid 0 Posted November 7, 2002 LOL, I forget the guys name but this one U.S. Government official refered to Canada as Soviet Canukistan . Thats pretty well how it is, and the U.S. is getting very tired of Canada's freeloading, mooching attitude towards the military. Damn our pinko commie government The other thing I wanted to say is, isn't it ironic that a forum that is deticated to a game about a war is so full of anti-killing, anti-war, pinko commie hippies? I mean, what are you all doing playing a war game if war and killing so strongly disgusts you? Actually I remeber Acclauds reasoning, damn I'll miss that vegan bleeding heart.
