tonschuh 3 Posted May 9, 2013 This is my configuration IG, and with that, I can have, 40-50 FPS in the infantry Showcase, but in the helicopter Showcase, I have...maybe 25/27 FPS in maximum. tonschuh 3 Posted May 10, 2013 @OneZeoN As @samyG already mentioned, the P8Z77-V is a bit better then the P8Z77-V LX. I would personally go for a LG-Drive, as they usually "eat" every Brand of Disc's. :)

tonschuh 3 Posted May 10, 2013 Why is it a bit better?? Sorry im not to clued up on these thingsIm trying to spend no more than ive already set aside so the extra £40 hurts...especially if its better in ways ill never need etc P8Z77-V vs. P8Z77-V LX: - 2x PCIe 3.0 vs. 1x PCIe 3.0 - 2x PCI vs. 3x PCI - 4x SATA-3 vs. 2x SATA-3 - Intel-NIC vs. Realtek-NIC - 6x USB 3.0 vs. 4x USB 3.0 That should help you to decide if you would need the "V" or if the "V LX" would be just fine for you. The PSU should be fine, as your CPU-Cooler doesn't look like that you would over-clock much. :)
Conure 10 Posted May 10, 2013 Hi, For me, smooth fps is more important than eye candy - my PC is: core i5 2500k @ 4.2ghz NVidia GTX 660 ti 2gb 8GB ddr 3 ram at 1333mhz Solid state drive Due to monitor size I'll run the game at 1920-1200. I'm not really bothered about maxing with all the eye candy, but do you think this system can run a consistent 40fps at med to high?
nikiforos 450 Posted May 10, 2013 ^ Yes , definitely . Your system is good enough to run the game without any issues and with some eye candy on. I have similar system to you an i5 2500 @ 4.2 Ghz and a GTX 570 and I can run the game quite well. Expect to get even better frames and smoothness in the future. So yes you don't need to worry :)

You are able to use up to 32GB RAM with both Motherboards. :)

Thought 750w would have covered me but guess not I would go for 800-850W, to have a bit overhead and to stress the PSU not too much. I use a 900W PSU for 2x GTX680-SOC-2GB + 3770k @4400MHz, as I draw a bit more Power then you. Maybe you could save some money, if you go for a Seagate HDD and the switch from Asus to LG should give you a few bucks as well. You could still wait and just buy the PSU later with the new GPU and just sell the smaller PSU or maybe you will go just for a single next-gen GPU which would maybe not even need a bigger PSU. :)

tonschuh 3 Posted May 11, 2013 Yeah I think ill stick with what ive got and get a more powerful if needed next year.Is a modular psu better than a standard one? Less cables ive heard A modular PSU is better, if you like it neat and tidy in your PC-Case and to get a better Air-Flow. It depends a bit on as well, how many of the cables are in use. My PSU-Cables are almost completely in use, but in your case it looks like that you would have still quite a few leftover. If you don't mind the higher Price, then go for it. There are partially-modular and fully-modular PSU's available. :)
