road runner 4344 Posted August 1, 2016 If our Mod does not support compatibility it is for a reason. We do not want people to alter or tamper with the mod in any way, SMA works as intended. Vince_ 6 Posted August 11, 2016 There is an issue with some of the files in the mod. My Linuxserver would not with this mod enabled. I was able to fix it by using convmv to convert all files in the addon to lowercase. It would be a good idea to check case sensitivity in the the next update. It's less of an issue with Windows but Linux likes to complain. Having this issue as well. Gonna try your method with convmv. Hey yea good idea ill try fit that in next release. :) Unfortunately Bi have not fixed the hasBipod cmd in their code so when the bipods are attached the original grip stays there too. The idea is for it to disappear when attached but we will have to ignore it for now until its fixed. We also been working on a shiny new website for SMA so maybe next week ill give everyone a link to check it out, should be fun. Our team have been busy last 2 months we have alot done just finishing off the HK417 remodel and we should be good for release. We have already started work on our V 3.0 content so before anyone asks read the main page description on future releases for info on when your favorite weapon will be complete. ViperDriver 33 Posted September 6, 2016 This is a fantastic mod! I especially like the gorgeous HK417 and all the different rail attachments, they are top notch! The laser/light combinations are particularly nice, but I have some issues with them being inconsistent in which weapons they will attach to. Also, it would be awesome to have the option of having the laser on one side and the flashlight on the other as opposed to having the laser on top of the weapon. This would allow them to be used on shorter barreled weapons as well (I am thinking NIArms HK G36CV here...). EricJ already does this, but the visual quality of the attachments is poor. The suppressors for the FN Minimi's don't work for me at all. I'm able to see and equip them but they have the same audio and the AI reacts to the weapon the same with or without. Again, if this is a known issues I do apologize. I really enjoy SMA and eagerly await every update. Thank you for all the time and effort you guys have invested! We need more LMG love. Thanks! MERICA 30 Posted September 6, 2016 No... but I have had some sound issues with other players involving weapons from multiple mods. i.e. not hearing their weapons firing but being able to hear the sonic crack or just not hearing them at all. This is happening both when I'm hosting a server and not. We all run the same mod pack. Some of us get our mods from different places but I've ran into this with different players at different times regardless. That being said other team mates commented on my weapon not being suppressed with the suppressor on so for the SMA Minimi specifically it's not just me hearing it. John Q. MERICA 30 Posted September 6, 2016 I loaded SMA only and went into VR. There is a slight difference in the sounds between suppressed and unsuppressed. It's possible that I failed to notice this difference in game during combat. I'll pay closer attention to this over the next few days to see how the enemy reacts in different situations both with and without the suppressor. I have some real life experience with a SAW but that was 5.56 and without a suppressor so I honestly have no idea how effective a suppressor should be on a MK.3. I would think it would be more so than what I'm hearing in game. Thank you ineptaphid for offering some trouble shooting advice. The SMA attachments were specifically designed to be used for their models, it doesn't matter if they're top and side, or side by side, they work off the proxy point of the weapon it was designed to be used with, same with the suppressors, the proxy point for the SMA weapons differs from most other weapons addons. 2 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
