I understand you have a bunch on your list but I hope you will consider making more weapons from Singapore, i.e. Ultimax 100. garverick 1 Posted September 2, 2014 Just thought here i saw in V3 your going to release a AK12, now with that thought the AK12 is a very verstile AK platform, what you guys think bout doing it with the 60 round casket mag, HLC did a good AK12 standard version you could say, i think for the sake of variety around here yours could be a casket mag or even the 95round drum mag. just a thought for you guys to mull. Recently in vanilla Arma 3 there was a change in projectile velocity on suppressed weapons. Suppressors ADD about 10% to the velocity of the projectile. Your new weapons DECREASE projectile velocity by about 20%. Here's an example of the drop on an Mk17 at 300m: Looks like about a 300mm drop at 300m. We did originally experiment with Sub-Sonic ammunition, it was nice with the Sub-Sonic ammunition when used with or without a silencer not having the Sub-Sonic crack. All a suppressor does is reduce muzzle flash and initial report (not the sonic crack from the supersonic round itself, just the unburnt powders and the rapidly expanding gasses exiting the muzzle), using supersonic ammo in a suppressor is ok as long as the suppressor is designed to handle the extra "dirt" and the baffling system can withstand the pressures, you will reduce initial report and flash but your rounds will still crack. Suppressors actually INCREASE SLIGHTLY your velocity and accuracy, not by much but a little perhaps 3-8% depending upon the design and the cartridge. Subsonic ammo is an entirely different beast and you WILL notice significant drop compensation with subsonic over supersonic ammo, this is just physics 101. Why everyone still assumes that suppressors should lower bullet velocity and/or hit force? Theoretically it can reduce muzzle velocity in auto fire (residual gas in a can), but because of back-pressure it actually increase velocity by ~20-30fps. Like Spartan said Subsonic ammo is entirely different beast - For removing sonic crack there's a trade-off - subsonic bullet speed (thus lower impact force). Also integrally suppressed systems reduce bullet speed by leaking gas through barrel ports. So unless its sub-sonic or integral - suppressors does not affect or slightly increase muzzle velocity.
