He wanted Rangers, but I refused to be so Generic and go with a full SFG instead.

Why not include both? Rangers could always be used for Direct Action ops and the SFG guys for reconnaissance, infiltration, sabotage, etc - the more secretive kinda stuff.

What custom helmets will there be? and perhaps custom vests

and IRL there is no woodland version of the 'independent-type' uniform. (forgot its name)

better to use NATO uniform.

the NATO uniform is crye percision. a SF made uniform, also the woodland was a choice made by me due to the army's camo confusion (which they are finally getting out of) in which they had the thought of reinstating M81 woodland to replace UCP at one point.

I had a stupid idea..... Toy soldier colored uniforms xD, Bringin back the classic olive and tan (not gunna happen, unless people want it)

I think they're doing tricolor woodland and desert against MARPAT to see what is going to be used as a special jungle and desert pattern instead of Scorpion.

so.. they moved on from BDU and DCU patterns, and now they're talking about moving back to them?

from what i heard, the official choice is Scorpion (a early form of multicam) and i remember seeing they once considered MARPAT and m81 woodland.

They were already using BDU for a long time until deciding to move on and now they're looking at going back? Im not sure what this may seem like to you guys but I reckon UCP was a stuff up. The pattern seems great for urban combat but otherwise I dont see it being used in any other situation, as proven by soldiers experience in Iraq and Afghanistan. Imagine how much it would've cost to field the new uniforms in the new camoflage pattern for a decade and then moving back to the old pattern. All that logistics and manpower for nothing, and of course the loss of lifes to enemies due to poor camoflage concealment of the soldiers.

The IOTVs are the most suiting vests to equip US Army infantry with. :)

Atin claims to be having trouble porting the vest, if anyone wants to help they can PM him and help him find out the problem (something with size)

RichardD had ported the IOTV from A2 to his US Army uniforms mod, of course it had clipping issues, but he´d managed to fix them (still working on those uniforms, but he may give at least some advices on such matter)!

News update: 10th Mountain Division patches added in for the US army campaign (which all voice actors will be cast personally, no public casting this time), Also Custom M4s in the works.

A little Detail about the US army Campaign:

It follows the story of Nunez and Williams, whom were US army before re-enlisting as US Marines. it is set in Takistan 2 years before the events of Operation Forced Hand (USMC Campaign) in which a Insurgent Uprising strikes the Weakened Takistani Government still recovering from the Events of Operation Arrowhead. the Army past of Nunez and Williams will actually be shown in the USMC campaign in a easter-egg

its because A3's graphics limiter, and also the multicam textures still need tweaking

so, in the USMC mod we had the United Nations on BLUFOR, well

for the army we will have the Takistani Army as INDFOR (for campaign purposes), they will have their steel helmet ported from A2 and their standard issue will AK-74s and/or M16A2s

1. Finish NB_ACR

3. Start and finish NB_UKAF (or NB_BAF)

4. Work and finish NB_CHArmy (Chernarussian Army)

5. Start work on OPFOR series of mods

6. Start and Finish NB_RUSArmy (russian army)

7. (not confirmed) Start and Finish NB_NKMilitary (north Korean military)

8. (not confirmed) Start and finish NB_ChinaArmy

9. (talking about, not yet confirmed) Release a mod pack with all mods in it

Where´s the so many times mentioned NB_USMC campaign in this roadmap! I really want to play it by what we´ve seen so far, looks intense and gritty!

That campaign will be released after NB_USArmy's campaign (the prequel :3)

Wow, nice! So there will be 2 campaigns? One for NB_USMC and other for NB_Army! Groovy, the more, the merrier ;)
