Grumpy Old Man 3546 Posted March 23, 2014 Yeah, they're treated like rabbits or snakes but only spawn on that specific date/time and area go ahead and try it

Ranwer135 308 Posted March 23, 2014 (edited) Wow, there's actually Aliens in Arma 3! That explains the zombie targets...WOW BTW: Where exactly in the north-west of altis do you see them? Edited March 23, 2014 by Ranwer
das attorney 858 Posted March 23, 2014 Wow, there's actually Aliens in Arma 3!That explains the zombie targets...WOW BTW: Where exactly in the north-west of altis do you see them? I think GOM is pulling your leg. The Arma 3 devs released a mock video in 2012 with these aliens in it. They definitely don't exist in game as there are no cfgVehicles entries and nothing in the ambient parts of CfgWorlds. The texture file is probably a leftover. Maybe the devs are thinking of putting the aliens in some kind of upcoming DLC? :D But the alien texture do remind me of the aliens in the movie "Independence Day"

das attorney 858 Posted March 24, 2014 More likely they existed for the purposes of that build but then the devs didn't remove the textures/RVMAT. No, I agree - what I was saying is that's a total falsehood that they are in the game now.

Here's the video: Cheers
Ranwer135 308 Posted March 24, 2014 Huh? That's interesting. If it was an april's fool, couldn't they just leave the actual mod in as like an Easter egg. (But I still don't know why they removed a few good content that was in their vids)

My guess is that they didn't intend to leave "the actual mod in as like an Easter egg" but were simply incomplete about removing all of its related contents. logan83 11 Posted March 24, 2014 uhm... im too sad... a gray alien in the game that's could be funny!
Valken 623 Posted March 29, 2014 Since someone found the texture, can anyone for the model? Perhaps it can be ported into an independent faction for some Sci-Fi near future war mod?! :D
chortles 263 Posted March 29, 2014 To date no one has found a corresponding model, at least not named "reticulan", nor a config entry for one... so you'd have to do up one from scratch and apply said textures yourself.
meatball 25 Posted August 31, 2014 I know this is an older thread, but just wondering, couldn't you apply those textures to a model already ingame?
chortles 263 Posted August 31, 2014 Theoretically yes, but I've no idea what they'd look like nor what the size of the intended model was.

phronk 898 Posted December 31, 2014 This is my new favorite thread. You guys are retarded... the aliens don't spawn in Altis; they spawn randomly in the wooded coast above Kamino Firing range on the 4th of July in 2011, somewhere between 8:45pm and 11:45pm.
