I got one question about the movie predator. What type of guys were arnold's team? some CSAR team or what? I mean were they like marines/rangers etc etc?

i had that movie on tape, it was a sweet movie....until one day it was either my sister or my mom, who got the tape shreaded up in the lousy VCR

The most probable option is them being U.S.Army special ops. The wreckage of the downed UH-1H was marked U.S.Army, along with the skinned body of U.S.Army Captain J.S. Davis which they found shortly after descending into the jungle.

If I'm not mistaken - Philips, the slightly older character which greets Dutch (Arnold) in the beginning on the base is infact aware (as we find out later in the movie) of that downed Army Huey along with its crew.

Since all characters directly and indirectly make a correlation with the Army then I'd say they were Army special ops, although being that this is a puerly fictious movie this is something that cannot be proven.

Well first I thought they were Delta Force, but then looked at their equipment (Minigun etc) and their tactics and thought that it looks more like they are mercenaries of some kind

Yea once I saw the minigun all my predictions went away. Just like antichrist said, they are most likely some type of mercenaires.

Btw is predator 2 any good?

They are hired mercenarys, it is mentioned in the film, no need to guess.

Predator 2 is okay. As sequels go its one of the better ones but the studio rushed production and it shows. Apparently early US screenings didn't even have all the effects shots!

July 15, 2002... Variety reported today that director Paul Anderson (Event Horizon, Resident Evil) has officially landed the job of writing and directing the Aliens vs. Predator film. John Davis, David Giler, Lawrence Gordon, Walter Hill and Joel Silver will serve as the film's producers.

Anderson is also developing Resident Evil 2 and is writing the script for AvsP. According to Variety, Anderson's story is set on a distant planet and involves a scientist who uses an Alien to lure Predators to the world.

Resurrection sucked ASS in my opinion. The only ones that were any good were the first two. The first one casue it was scary as hell the first time, and the second one just...cause.....it ruled pretty much.

Even the third one was kinda pushing it. I dont know how that queen had time to lay an egg all the way up in that part of the ship when it was supposed to be hiding under the drop ship the whole time.

the queen can play eggs pretty fast, but what takes time is the egg to hatch, and the face hugger probably just hatched, and crawled onto the ship.

No, but only a queen can lay eggs. In the begining of Alien3 you see a hatched egg all the way up by the cryo tubes, but the queen in the last part of Aliens never got past the docking area...

as i see it, Predator 1 was better...if you are a bit doped up like me, you can show that predator vs. arnie is actually microscopic version of technology vs. human power.

however, Predator 2 had none of that..just a bunch of kill-fest.
