Iron Front as mod in Arma 3

maybe that was epic .

in my opinion the most epic mission in invasion 44 was the Benny edition Warfare 2.073 mod by Hannibal .

and i hope and pray that in some distant future we will see something similiar for ifa.

See if some one can make a mission that was as Epic as INV44 A2 Omaha Beach Landing?

yes but only in mp, i tried to set the hour (6.30) of 6 june with bad weather i spawned in LVT is awesome!!!!

need delimit the combat area at the first crossroad, 3 bunkers and 1 trenches 1 house for flag to capture (tot 5 flags) 4 LVT t in attack to spawn 2 mortars on the shore 2 mortars for the germans in the hill plus 1 pak 40 and AA stuff and so on

Once we release our c-47 and 82nd airborne paratrooper skins we will be making an Invasion of Normandy mission series which will involve dropping behind enemy lines as paratroopers to accomplish multiple objectives and even a d-day beach landing which will be playable and not lag and have fps issues. This will ofcourse be created once the c-47 and airborne skins are done so please have patience.

To the IFa3 team:

- Hopefully Ironfront for A3 team will do some updates for the US faction since that is what a lot of people are enjoying now.

- We currently cannot enjoy the full extent of the us vehicles being that only the armored halftrack and tank has movement sound. The rest of the us vehicles are very unrealistic due to the lack of sound.

- A winter bastogne type map would be very pleasing to the community.

- A Neaville type of map would also be pleasing.

- Any content for us like a US mortar and machine gun would also be pleasing.

- German tanks don't blow up. It would be nice if German tanks had an awesome blow up animation instead of just smoke and engine destruction. We want a big bang and more smoke to give a more satisfying kill.

Can you show some screenshots for the airborne units? I am going to join!

The progress on the c-47 is what we have prioritized first. So work on the units is soon to come but i'll post some screenshots of the us c-47 soon.

Amazing! I am already in the TS3 group and server, looking great! Cant wait for more updates. Maybe the IF team can port some I44 stuff like the winter version of one of the maps, that would be awesome.

By the way... Neaville... can't you just copy the map pbo from I44 into arma 3/iron front - other addons? I know that it works for some A2 maps (while using A3 map pack), so maybe you could try that? I even tried to play with I44 in arma 3 by doing some tricks, it works, but you can't play with the units, it's only for making screenshots. So i assume you can port the map pbo (Neuville, bastogne) into iron front - other addons folder, it might work!

Edit: I just tried to put some A2 map pbo's into the folder and it works. Without A3 map pack i got some missing textures like grass on 1 of the 4 maps, WITH the a3 map pack i had no missing textures at all.

Just look at this, it looks amazing, you can compare this to the content Forgotten Hope 2 has. I will try to port it into A3 but it will be very unstable and only for making screenshots. If this gets merged into the A3 world, man, what a WW2 game we have in hour hands, Iron Front + I44, just imagine it.

i hope that the team instead to add new contents fixes the enormous amount of asset existing

about the maps, we need a better optimization the current maps, are huge and denses, not suited for multiplayer

Neaville is quite small map if you compare with other ones. I think it works if you just copy the map over to A3.

* For maps Neuville, bastogne. I suggest a talent mapmaker should make a new A3 one insted of using those A2. They all had bad FPS and used present russian buildings from vanila A2 If Im not wrong? That completle killed the immersion of any WW2-gameplay feeling.

Suggestion: make a custom fiction map that could be used for both Western front and Eastern front gameplay?

I tried it and i got over 15 error messages, combining I44 with A3. Unstable and couldn't shoot a weapon, if we want to play with I44 content in A3 a talented modder has do port it over, but i don't think someone will do that, as i keep an eye on the I44 forums and it's basicly dead. They were working on I44 for A3 but the development got stopped half a year ago.

Just a thought , would it be possible to purge the old inv44 armor systems from the inv44 model configs and implement the iron front armor system .

perhaps .kju could answer me that just to get things a little more straight in my head .

I think that if Iron Front managed to coooperate with I44, wich already had lots and lots of content, and have permission to use its content, we could have a hell of a game!

Currently you can play as Germans versus Soviets or as fictional setting American allied with Germans and Polish against Soviet. Will later try to make it possible to have more sides available to play in correct ways. Just needing some more heavy changes in mission scripts. You can already use the iron front units/vehicles on other supported maps too (Altis, Chernarus, Takistan, Bornholm or Staszow).

The Russian (transport plane) is very buggy. It has no Ride in back option it is only a pilot seat and gunner seat on top. I think it was only for looks because it is far from finished being developed.

Is there any chance you get get this to Coop 32 Independant(US) vs Germans? For Iron Front on Staszow? If so, We will run this on our public server (populated everyday)

Updating WLA COOP soon, Iron Front support for it could be possible too. Will see how it comes.

Just got IFA3..... not getting any sounds on weapons.

Are you sure you have all required folders? Theres alot of em.

I just ran the PWS automatic one, I DLed the 31 mb or so IFA3 mod... which then "processed" a ton of shit and copied those folders, and ran 2 patcher exes,

so idk about any "required folders"

also im getting the wrong faction icons and a shit ton of CFG errors too... also getting random TKOH GUI elements on the menus
