Will you be sharing these with CUP?

As in requiring CUP? No real plans on that note given everybody wants to use a gun mod of sorts, so I can just probably leave them "Unarmed" except for a few grenades and basic A3 gear for the standalone version, while the one included in my gun mod will have stuff (as shown really) from my pack.

The outfits look great, my one niggle with the ISIS/Syria factions mod is that all of the ISIS guys have chest rigs and camo pants

I'm not sure what you mean, most ISIS fighters I've seen at various times wear some sort of desert digital pattern.or scraped together gear, and not always man dresses either (mumu's).. Matter of fact Insurgents also have worn Iraqi Army fatigues, Police uniforms, as well as ANA/ANP uniforms.

They had Abrams tank at one point (until it ended up stuck in a ditch) Supporters in villages most likely won't have full military gear. But more traditional clothing

Well, given the amount of reference images I've seen, and my deployment in 2004-2005, I did see man dresses mainly worn by civilians. However, it's not a common form of "uniform" that most insurgents wore.  I'm quite sure they wore them but it is not a standard form of wear. They do wear T-shirts, they do wear pants too.

Haha man dress. I like that eric. Our comm sgt once said, "im not dying in a man dress". Common name is kameez, or kamis as we called them. Insurgent (both allied and foe) fighters wore whatever was available. However some factions are pretty well equipped clothing wise, wearing standard nato bdus when possible. ISIS has a bit more local resources, and aren't as "nomad" as talis. They can rock almost any style clothing from jeans to the iconic adidas sweatsuit

Lol well I always heard Mumu but gotcha, but I really have no plans for an ISIS style Aggressor stuff, Taliban is pretty much where I'm going with this, and why I made the "PIF Militia", sort of local villagers willing to fight, just not in a combat style uniform.

Haha they look fine for irregular afghan style fighters. There was no shortage of russian ak mag chest rigs.

Lol nope, I may find some in the A2 Sample Models and see what i can come up with, or failing that just use the default gear. Then again I usually dropped bombs on then or used an Apache, or Kiowas.

Well for some odd reason the vest thing ain't working (regardless of what I did, yes I used the template too, it just doesn't want to sit correctly), so no worries, A3 vests it is. Personally given the timeframe I can fudge it a bit, so while I'd like to get it historically correct I think the game will be fine.

Then again I'll try another model, and see how that goes...

Okay here's the "Basic" Taliban Fighters setup.

It should be noted that other than a couple RGOs, they're unarmed and decided to keep it relatively simple given player preference on weapon mods and the like, so you'll have to gear them up in the Editor or Virtual Arsenal, etc.

So far all six can be found in OPFOR>Taliban

Ahh you're right.... was still waking up when I replied. No, I don't have the time or honest inclination to work with a group as far as part of the team. Onsies and helpies but as far as anything more committed is out of the question as I have too many other things going on in my life to consider anything like it. If they ask I won't mind sharing it, as it's A2 shit anyway (the models and textures), but otherwise no real plans to.

Okay I had planned on adding this to the Tali pack but due to not seeing the obvious, zeealex helped me out figuring out the obvious to get this working:

Still have to tweak it but overall works, which is good :)

And how the weapons pack versions will look (as well as the smaller addon):

wip1175.jpg

All in all I do hate how it clips through the dress but realistically I'm not too concerned right now.

I had also gotten a request for a fixed handled M4 for the Mogadishu map since everybody goes nuts over that engagement. I've considered an Insurgency map using the PIF units as there's not much Somalian units out there (unless I missed something) anyway, so we'll see but regardless should be good enough anway.  Foxhound I do owe you a small image for Armaholic so I'll get that to you as that small mini-mod is something that'll be a separate mod for now.

Some more work, this time on the top area. I found quite  a few reference shots and while the mount isn't correct, it's a good compromise for those who would like to use iron sights:

Seems I was a bit presumptuous, but that's okay, added a near era specific flashlight (close enough anyway), it is of course fixed and of course will be setup to be usable:

And updated the barrel a bit:

How?

I mean I looked at the picture and the CAR-15 isn't a bogey, so not sure what you're talking about.

Hey EricJ loving your helo pack as always. Curious do you have plans on giving the helos a lil roll on touch down instead of the hard stop ? Thanks for all your hard work.

I noticed the close up LOD's on all your scopes are very square.  Switch to third or otherwise get some zoom out on them and they go back to round.  Really kills it for me :(

My detail settings are pretty high.

Just an fyi, love your stuff.

Not sure why you're seeing the close up LODs as squares, as I see them as optics, so for some reason your distance LODs are showing as close up LODs, so what it could be your processor is taking a bit long chugging out the graphics settings, and thus you're seeing that happen.  I don't run everything on High myself and still get a good  balance between FPS and it looking good. And thanks man :)

I've tried to fix that issue and frankly not sure what it is up with that as not all BIS helos move either (Taru, Orca, etc).  Next week I'm planning on nuking what I have already and redoing the whole thing to fix that FLIR ball issue. Right now that's more of a priority over wheel animations, which by setting it up like the Sample Models didn't seem to do anything either.

On the Colt Model 727 front... for some reason "integral" flashlights I guess now are disabled (like A2 lights, where it was part of the model) aren't working, so I'm making a cheap mount for the barrel area. The weapon will still continue to not be able to mount a suppressor just to keep it interesting and so on. Checking some older addons confirms I'm not going nuts given that it seems Legacy A2 code won't work with A3 (Tried it various ways), unless I'm missing something. In any case it'll be a combo light/Laser mount to mount various stuff. Which sucks as I did want to keep it historically correct.
