Those are Cicadas. These create the typical loud buzzing sound you hear in the environment of Arma 3 and definitely everyone who has been in the Mediterranean can tell you how pleasant they are :mad: :D

I've been living in e Mediterranean seaside most of my life and I really find them pleasant, I have sleep lots of times with their music, in fact I know miss them ( I'm now living in the Baltic seaside ).

BTW the only scary thing about the Arma 3 maps ( at least Stratus ), are how close they are to reality. Though I find it a bit weird to fight in "my mom's" yard. I specially love the dry river bed ( that only fills and dangerously when it rains ).

It's nice to hear you say, "...how close they are to reality." :p Being that you've lived in the region, that is saying a lot about what Bohemia Interactive has done when it comes to detail of the maps. It will be interesting to hear your opinion on Altis and how close it comes to replicating Lemnos.

Can't wait to explore Altis on the ground, just 4 days. But I have to recognise that BI are doing a great job with the terrain, so I think it can look awesome.
