Does anyone have any news on a fix for the broken armory? There was a post a week or so ago about it, not sure if it has been fixed.

Im considering buying arma 3, not just for this mod but this has a part in it, and would really like to loadout before heading out on a mission.

broken armory? you must be talking about the BIS armory mission...the armory script in this mission works just fine.

Hey guys.

Any new version of this mission with ACRE support ?

It works fine as is, but i can't seem to figure out how to get other radios than the little standard one with about 1km range... hardly enough.

First of all, many thanks Kibot for all the effort you're putting into this. DUWS makes my arma 3 experience a lot more exciting!

I've just been testing out v0.8b. Unfortunately, as said before I cannot save anymore. After reinstalling the game i was able to save once, but after loading I couldn't save again.

Apart from that, I have a question about VAS.

The armory isn't working properly here. I can buy the armory with cp points and enter it which gives me the VAS interface. But then when I select a weapon for instance and press "add item" nothing happens. Also removing gear does not work.

Any idea what that is? I tried 4 different DUWS versions and had several complete arma 3 reinstalls but nothing helps

If this problem no longer exists? Then I will surely buy arma 3 :-)

@mastermankz - try starting the mission using less zones to capture...I typically use 3-5 zones and I get shot at all the time. I think a caching script might help with this if Kibot can get one in there eventually...the less processing power you have then the less AI should be on the map. Im running at 4.3Ghtz...and 3-5 zones seems to be ok most of the time...I play quick style mission...usually lasts for about an hour or 90 minutes before a restart so this way im not pushing it. Try making only 3 zones and see if it works better that way.

That being said...buyer beware because Arma 3 is not without some major problems and really annoying glitches. Buying a $60 game based on 1 mission (which you've never played) is not the wisest thing to do since there are bound to be things with the mission (and the game) which you will not like. There are plenty of AI issues (unresponsive and getting stuck alot) for instance...among other little things...so just be careful...I have to say that even though I am messing about with this mission and enjoying it...this so far is the ONLY mission I actually will play thus far in Arma3...there's not enough content to warrant a $60 purchase IMO...just be careful.

Yeah...you make a good point, I've heard a lot about the game being rather clunky. Though I have played ARMA 2, the ARMA 3 alpha, and a ton of DayZ so I kind of know what I'm getting myself in for :P.

Might wait out a bit longer, the price is too high I think considering what the game actually has going for it.

I'm having the same issue of AI becoming numb (as posted before) and I thought that this might be a system specs thing.

However when I played another brilliant scenario - the CTI, I had no issues whatsoever, and that scenario is played all over the map with a lot of AI units.

Or is it on a timer?

Are you saying that 0-8-1 is cleaning dead bodies, or are you talking about the "rest" feature ? We never tested that but it's a cool way to improve perf. After sometimes, there are so many deads around FOB that it's crippling server FPS.

funny, ive tried it both ways (sitrep and rest/save) and neither one deletes the dead bodies or vehicles for me. I've just re-enabled the cleanup script in the mission so it'll delete dead bodies and wrecked vehicles every 20 minutes. That will be available as of today if anyone wants to test it...again contact me with your email and I'll send it out to you.

Would it be possible to get different kind of OPFOR ?

Some addons like this one ( http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?172069-Arma3-AGGRESSORS ) could add some flavours to our daily fights ! ;)

I'll leave that to someone else if anyone wants to do it as another version, but personally I find that missions which require no addon downloads by the user are usually the most popular since anyone can join them in the server browser.

forgot to mention, i'm using latest dev branch version

it is impossible to save game progress and then load it up again, it will only restart a new campaign-game. i really don't understand why. it is the same with the 'modified' version you have sent to me by email recently.

dunno how you're doing it...but try doing this:

First place the mission pbo file into your arma3\MPmissions folder and remove any previous DUWS folders and/or missions. Then start an LAN in-game MP server for yourself.

1. Restart the mission from scratch (do not resume)

2. After it starts and you are in the HQ go ahead and request a couple AI units

3. use 0-8-1 (sitrep) to save the mission

4. exit out of the mission and close Arma3 down

5. Restart arma3...highlight the mission in the MP Altis menu, choose RESUME.

Once it brings you to the unit selection screen in the lobby make sure to choose the same unit you were playing as when you saved it...and do not alter any parameter screen settings when using RESUME.

When it restarts you should see your units still in there waiting for you and you should also note that the enemy territories are there same as they were when you saved it.

* I also tried it in SP (installed the pbo file to my 'missions' folder and chose to play 'scenarios') and the sitrep/load/resume all work fine there as well. But you're better to install the pbo file to your MPmissions folder and play it that way instead of SP since you'll be able to have access to changing the extra options in the MP Parameters screen (such as time of day, disabling fatigue, etc.)

*NOTE* - if you are playing it from your MPmissions folder (multiplayer): to recover any previous support unlocks you may have purchased you must respawn yourself once after a RESUME. (hit esc/respawn). This step is not necessary when playing from regular missions folder (single player).

@Lightningstrike - if it is still not working for you then either you don't realize you can only save using the sitrep feature in this mission (0-8-1 or rest/save at HQ)...OR, its an issue with the DEV branch version of arma3 you are using.

I know... Bis should have included the previous models in A3 vanilla...

yep no argument there... there are alot of basic things BIS should have done with Arma3 but didn't. The OP does state that this mission is supposed to work with addon units though...maybe you should have a look through.

ok, i have fixed it. my savegames are working fine now, the culprit was:

the fucking @A3MP mod ! :638::16_6_8:

i dont know why, but the @A3MP mod are just maps/islands and it was screwing up the whole shit so much that not only the game save/load was not working with DUWS but also with many other mods!

now i keep only Blastcore A3 and JSRS2 (and CBA A3)

Mission updated again today...basically fixes the support drop (ammo box) from landing too far away. it lands alot closer to you now so you wont have to run 300m to get to it...it's closer to 30m now :-)

...also included a short readme in the zip detailing the changes and how to properly install, etc.

Check your email, if you didnt receive it just let me know.

Great mission!

I was wondering... is it possible to use laser-guided bomb?

It would be very fun to have someone mark the target with a laser (with a uav, for instance) and be able to fire a laser-guided bomb on it from the support menu.

@undead - I put in an MLRS for 100CP...buy one, put an AI in the gunner seat, take a range finder with you in the field, point it at a stationary target, hit your AI's F# key and select 2, then select "fire at position".
