What is going on? No CTI servers??

Why everyone is playing Coop and Wasteland???:(:(:( Where are all those CTI beloved servers???

Iam European and I cant find anyone!!!

This was a large contributor, yes.

CTI just needs a large "refresh" for A3. Not people forward porting their arma 2 missions.

Re-invent the gamemode, it needs it.

How bout we put our minds together and come up with a new One town warfare for stratis? I enjoyed the old one alot and using this as an excuse to teach myself some scripting/editing

Arma 2 has still a lot of CTI servers running which are filled with players. It isnt dead. More hard to find are TvT pvp servers in the meanwhile inclusive mods like i.e. Project Reality, which got cut out in the server list by Dayz/Life/Wasteland servers.

Vylker the servers are there. EUTW, Blue1's server, and Tigress are the three big ones. Currently there is (or was haven't checked for a patch today) a bug that would end the mission after 10-15 minutes of play. Blue's server switched to the DEV build which was working fine. I also love CTI, its the only game mode me and my friend play.

Whats so funny ? It was asked for servers not for players.

Read the Threadname "What is going on? No CTI servers??"

Everyone can play what ever he wants to.

I just wanted to tell Vylker that there is a server with oldschool CTI on it.

The whole point of warfare/CTI is to Capture the Island (hence CTI). Having 1 town is just a glorified Capture & Hold mission.

Very true I suppose, but base building and unit construction and command are much more important in a 1 town warfare then in a C&H mission. I think of it as a hybrid of the two.

Hosted in Europe and most of the time full.

I've been playing in your sever for some days now, and it has been loads of fun. Epic battles including helos shooting each other, while AA missiles are launched at them, and snipers shoot at the ATs. This game mode has been the most fun I've found since I began playing AIII.

yeah warfare is great. but still looking forward to base building / defenses etc.

Anyway CTI is one of arma's greatest strengths and I also whonder why there arent more game modes / missions that reflect that.

Not as many assets as A2 had at release (as bungled as that was), and A2 never had a public alpha or beta like this to be a comparable period.

CTI game mode dead? Those of you claiming this must not play Arma 3 at all...And the tab lock feature was adjusted in Arma 2 with the mando addon. Prior to the Arma 3 release you could play a Rubber Edition CTI match almost any time of the day with plenty of players on either side.

Look harder people, CTI is alive and well.

You dont have to look forward for base building. If you mean setting barracks, heavyfac, lightfac, airfac, communicationcenter, radar, walls, fences, pods and so on

then you obviously missed a mission.

And what is an usefull basebuilding mechanism ? And why does the size of an island matter on this ?

why to build an extra mission for only one town. What if you can choose how many towns you wanna play before you play ?

I play cti since 2002 and never stoped even in A1 A2 or A3. But every time BI releases a new game i hear ppl complaining about not having a cti.

I dont get it.

Its like you stand on a bananafarm and asking for fruits.
