Known issues:

White texture at range - FIXED

==========================

INSTALLATION :

======================

Extract into the ArmA 3 Directory, by default this is located in:

32-Bit - C:/Program Files/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/

64-Bit - C:/Program Files (x86)/Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/

After extraction it should look like this:

Steam/Steamapps/Common/ArmA 3/@your_mod_folder_name

You can also use the "Arma 3 Alpha" folder in your "My Documents" folder.

You'll also need add a Launch Parameter to Steam, in order to do so right-click on ArmA 3 Alpha and

click Properties and then Set Launch Options. In the window that opens enter in -mod=@your_mod_folder_name

For using multiple mods you would then do so like this:

-mod=@mod_name;@mod_name2;@mod_name3;@mod_name4

If you still have problems to install it look into this guide - http://www.armaholic.com/forums.php?m=posts&q=20866

I only made on color, my idea was to just turn the hat around so people can retexture and have fun with it.

Cool. Now If someone could make a reversed flat bill fitted hat, I'd be really happy.

Great job. Any possible way that we could get this with the headset?

Lol your hats backwards, guess you will need to wear shades now, now that the hat's bill is shading the back of your head.

  Quote
At a distance sometimes the hats looks white

Look into the drawing distance, not sure if it may help but take a look at this

  Quote
StaticsVisibleAtDistance (Visuals)

Makes static objects, like houses and structures, visible way beyond the standard drawing distance limit. In addition they no longer pop into view.

Instead they have a very nice seamless transition.

Maybe you can see how it was coded and find something that would help fix your issues, the file is for Arma2CO.

if you could get BI to release the example model for the hats with headset it would be very possible :)

If this is Arma then people can mod whatever they want, no?

Reminds me of the Privateers from Far Cry 3, but the cap appears less flat.

the orginal arma 3 files are locked to the public, unless they release the file to the public not everything is able to be modified.

Also for anyone that has download, I did a small update that fixed a problem with the texture not showing at long distances. A new link as been added on the main post.

How is that not a warnable post? I guess the troll was trying to provoke me and say that a flat bill hat is "gangsteresque"? This was what I'm talking about. Grow up.

I tested the hat on dev build, and had no problem. I am running the same build as you and same version of the addon, if anyone else could test the hat on dev build and give me some feedback would be much appreciated.

Would love to talk to you on steam when you got time, so I can sit down and test it out with you. Would like to try and recreate what is happening to you so I might be able to fix it.

I think I've worked out what your problem is. Previously I was viewing the item using Dyslexci's gear selector and saw no error. However I just tested by adding it to a unit via "this addheadgear" and I get a missing texture error. Its looking for it in the Oxygen P drive. Seems you've set the texture path to include full drive path. You only need to include path as far as mod folder. Should be an easy fix
