Akira 0 Posted July 16, 2002 As I have been stating for a bit I will be moving to Japan very soon, and now the time is nigh! This Friday will be my last day of work at the glorious State of Texas, and in consequence my internet will be extremely limited. Some say I'm a damn fool for giving up the security and non-work of a state job to go half-way around the world....but I think it will be fine adventure and learning experience. I will be in and out for the next few days, since I have to be at my condo so the workers can repair some flood damage from the recent rains, and so I can close on its selling. I will be in and out sporadically until I lave for Japan and get internet over there....so to all those who give a flyin' flip....I bid thee goodbye! ...at least until I can get hooked up again! Its been fun all!!

Die Alive 0 Posted July 16, 2002 When in Japan, make sure you check out any and all of Takashi Miike films, he's the best Japanese directors and his films are truely spectacular. The Dead or Alive series, Visitor Q, Audition, Fudoh, Full Metal Yakuza, Happiness of the Katakuris, they're all worth watching. -=Die Alive=-

Mister Frag 0 Posted July 16, 2002 Best of luck to you, and have fun! When you get to Japan, you'll find that the vast majority of the country has been wired using fiber-optic lines, and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone offers cheap high-speed net access almost anywhere. You'll likely be able to enjoy 100Mb/sec residential Ethernet access for the equivalent of about US $30.
