Glass gets shot out

a small thing but so important to immersion. you can shoot building windows out and their texture changes. :butbut:

really liking so many things about the alpha. top job.

But not for all buildings, the windows from the control tower in the airfield have the glass breaking sound but stay the same.

I noticed its the same for windows with frames near the city in most houses, sound plays but windows don't actually break.

I would love to see glass break like in VBS... the current system is cheap.

Haven't seen any mention that some houses now have breakable glass. Great work BIS.

But some downstairs ones aren't. Also from a downstairs window I emptied an entire clip at an AI outside and it didn't hit him. (single player and he was close so I didnt miss)

(Control tower glass isn't breakable yet :()

To be fair, they're not implemented all that well yet. I certainly think the breakable windows are a step up from the entirely static ones in the previous games, but it does look weird. The glass pieces fall and then disappear.

I would love to see the bits shatter on the floor below but since people are already having problems with fps I think we'll have to let it go... ;)

Arma 2 had breaking glass,in Utes at the airport you could shoot the glass out from the control tower,but I noticed you can't do that in Arma 3,probably will get some more lovin though. :)

Yes ... I noticed that yesterday. I also noticed partially broken glass. This will help with thermal imaging. Thermal imaging doesn't typically work through glass because glass reflects infrared radiation.

Saw it and liked it though it could use some tweaking, apparently single story duplex's have bullet proof glass from either side and some buildings if you shoot the wall near the glass, the closest glass breaks, so strange. Nonethless I very much like this new feature.

Its nice to see the improvements but it still need work. Also would be nice to have the glass pieces hit the floor then disappear.

I'm with you guys. Needs some work for sure, but I'm really glad to see they are at least working on including that instead of having those seemingly "bullet sponge" windows from A2.

So you're saying its "poorly" implemented because tens of thousands of particles are not persistent? FPDR

This actually looks a lot nicer than the glass breaking in VBS, believe me...

Some windows when broken make the sound yet, but remain as "wall"..I mean bullets don't pass through
