Not that I know of. So far I've seen a handful of models in production and right before the are about to be released they suddenly disappear. sad.gif

What is so hard about modeling a cargo/paratroop plane?

Ill tell u guys what Eviscerator told me. "Its not modeling thats the hard part or getting it in game. The hardest part is the textures.."

blah! Black and white would do for me. Plus most of these models did look totally textured, but for some reason they just don't get released. There has to be some other reason

I feel obligated to add my .02 euros here.. My Antonov had very temporary textures in the screenshots. I could have made them less temporary and released it, but that isn't the only thing that takes a lot of time to do. In my case getting the plane to fly in a satisfactory manner, so that the AI could land it, yet make it so that it feels big, proved, and is proving extremely hard to get right. On top of that, it has started to bounce it´s front end while on the ground. Then there's all the LOD´s for it. In the case of such a huge plane, I have to be very careful when the detail drops off, because you can see it from further away than a small cessna. But the main reason I have put it on ice, and I suspect others are laying low as well, is because of the new texture resolutions that Resistance offers. I am still waiting for a copy, and I want to see how big the textures can be.. seems people don't agree on that still.

I agree with Konyak. The textures seem to be the thing that is criticised the most. Resistance does appear to have higher res textures and that is one of the reasons my F27 id taking longer than anticipated. Also the oFp game engine takes a bit to understand when it comes to realistic flight models. A lot of time is spent researching to get the right interiors cockpit panels etc.

Many people want us to release our planes as they are, but unfortunately that is often unwise. I don't have resistance, and since i began modelling I haven't played OFP. People, please be patient as the models do take time to build and to test.

Nah take your time to do it right Konyak. A huge addon like that is something worth doing right. But if you can keep us updated on the progress cuz people all over the OFP community have been wondering what has happened to your airplane. But it's good to know that the Antonov is still being worked on. Keep up the good work! I'm really looking forward to that addon!

It would be nice to have some kind of "guide" for someone like me with one of the oldest versions of OFP what one should have. I dont only mean the silly upgrades I mean all the maps such as the winter maps, the best new models (are there any real new models anyway), and the best new units /guns. Someone should create a file of like 50MB that contains them all.! smile.gif

C-130 vs Antonov - release date, same days, hopefully some day?  wink.gif

Edit: Call me childish, greedy, or whatever - but I just love being spoilt. And THEY would make my day in front of the ol' PC complete smile.gif

Just go there and get what you want.<span id='postcolor'>

I know all those, but I thought why dont they create one big file with the best new vehicules and units. Like this we could make sure that the missions we publish can be played by most of us. They would be smaller in size (because you wouldnt have to download all those units with the mission), and you could simply store one single file on your HDD.
