Wiki 1558 Posted August 4, 2012 Hey konyo, 2 questions: Any idea about the ETA of release? Are you gonna work on MH-60K and MH-60L choppers too when finished with this one? Thanks, Wiki
astast 12 Posted August 4, 2012 Yeah should work the same way :D The "AN/AVR-2 Laser Warning System" is located inside the red rings on the picture below it's also on the other side of the chopper.
scarecrow398 43 Posted August 4, 2012 Not sure if this is the same sort of system as BIS uses, but it currently has Lock detection & Missile warning sounds :) i think he ment more of a aesthetic thing on the model, AFAIK it pretty much gives you a warning when a laser lock is detected (no laser SAM's exist in arma to my knowlage so there's not much point) which would be the same as the bis one anyway :P
islesfan186 83 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) AVR-2s are used on standard Blackhawks and Chinooks as well I believe. I know for a fact they're on the Apache Edited August 4, 2012 by islesfan186
konyo 14 Posted August 4, 2012 Hey konyo, 2 questions:Any idea about the ETA of release? Are you gonna work on MH-60K and MH-60L choppers too when finished with this one? Thanks, Wiki Im afraid i dont actually know a release date. Like many addon authors say, how long is a piece of string? It will be done when scripts are built and finished, and when i fix a few bugs & beta testing finished... A rough guess would be a few more weeks? Again not 100% sure on that so dont get too excited :D Havn't got any plans to make a MH-60k & MH-60L. After this project is finished and released i really need to get working on finishing the Seaking, Scout & Gazelle for the Project 82 Falklands MOD. So i doubt i will get a chance too. Sorry. The "AN/AVR-2 Laser Warning System" is located inside the red rings on the picture below it's also on the other side of the chopper.http://s16.postimage.org/54t1a2pjn/warning_system.jpg Sorry that link isan't working for me? Also while im here does anyone know what those 2 square's are below the gold exhaust cover on the rear engines? in the picture below? http://data3.primeportal.net/hangar/michael_block/mh-47g_soa/images/mh-47g_soa_01_of_96.jpg Im pretty sure there Chaffs & Countermeasures? Just to be sure though? Anyone back me up on this being correct? :D

Sorry. no problem mate. anyway, with the MH-6 and AH-6 from OA, the MH-60K from ADuke (and maybe MH-60L fromYuraPetrov - maybe) and your MH-47E, all the 160th SOAR choppers will be available for arma 2. that's great! Also the box right under the roter is where the laser system sensor i was talking about is placed :) *Edit didn't see that it was answered* Edited August 4, 2012 by astast

astast 12 Posted August 4, 2012 (edited) Yes that's the spot that makes it 6 sensors not four as i said before There might be more but that's the ones i'm aware off. Edited August 4, 2012 by astast

scarecrow398 43 Posted August 5, 2012 i do recall someone in my group making a script allowing you to walk around inside a flying chinook, something about firing AT-4's out the back :D (or so im told, i'll ask next time he's online.) So... i happened to get in contact tonight and found out how it was done.... and i quote "it worked pretty well and other than some people with network issues it was pretty smooth and seamless, and is pretty east to write just implementing can be difficult" the basics behind it is AttachTo and Re-attaching with every step, i didn't quite believe it when it said it but everyone seems to remember firing AT-4's from the side and killing the crew with back-blast :D
konyo 14 Posted August 5, 2012 but everyone seems to remember firing AT-4's from the side and killing the crew with back-blast :D So it didn't work? lol!
scarecrow398 43 Posted August 6, 2012 So it didn't work? lol! haha, this was back before we started using ace and he wrote a script that was a 5m 'death-zone' to simulate the overpressure and a 20m shotgun blast to simulate the shrapnel so the found the if the entire helo didn't tilt towards the target (like a AC-130 firing its cannon) the backblast would kill anyone behind them. (ussaly the passengers or MG gunners.) though one would expect someone not to fire a M136 out of a moving helo anyway :P

Especially using attachto everytime lol. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- EDIT: This afternoon i've redesigned the Aerial Re-Fueling Probe... again! The Fuel Probe is now 100% finished & textured so that is final. Here it is in Oxygen 2. Ive redesigned the end where it goes into the tanks. How it should of been anyway. http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy222/konyo-napster4/MH-47E/39873645.jpg & Here is the final version & texture of the Fuel Probe in-game. http://i794.photobucket.com/albums/yy222/konyo-napster4/MH-47E/052b8260.jpg Edited August 6, 2012 by konyo

The bottom of the Probe should be alligned with the fuselage... The sidedoor should be still openable... konyo 14 Posted August 6, 2012 Thats very sexy looking :)Is that a new nose too i can see on that last picture? :D Thankyou. & No same nose i just removed all textures as im making everything ready. Its currently runs dead straight from tanks to the cockpit? ---------- Post added at 05:32 PM ---------- Previous post was at 05:28 PM ---------- @Swiss. The door isn't a problem as it does not open anyway lol.
sup3r6f0ur 2 Posted August 6, 2012 He means the probe sits to high. The bottom of the probe needs to be even with the bottom of the aircraft.
Gruman 123 Posted August 6, 2012 Hey Mate, Maybe my vision is just screwed... Could you maybe make a picture from the right looking at the whole probe and front part of the chopper? What I ment was, that the lowest point of the Refuel Probe, should be the same hight as the belly. Just esthetic... ;-) Im making everything ready. Looking fooorward :) Another thing I thought about adding, while working on my version of the chopper... Everybody talks about the "King Fish"... how about making the chopper floatable? (isnt that easy, since you cant give a chopper the same features as a boat... but its doable as some proof of concept from a modder here shows :)) Just and idea for the future :) Best regards

I think it sits just above the belly of the MH47. So will correct it for you ;) lol. Yes that could be done by some scripts I think. However the MH47E does sit on the water without sinking... Unless you decrease throttle loads and it will sink, but you can keep your hands off the keys and it will float.
