SaOk 112 Posted February 22, 2013 (edited) New version 0.51 for Whole Lotta War Coop is released. I fixed all issues that I could find, except I had to disable the AI chopper transport feature for players' team. Couldnt yet get the waypoint giving part work. Going to check that feature later again. See the first post for download link(s). Edited February 22, 2013 by SaOk
SaOk 112 Posted March 6, 2013 My missions for ArmA3 will be here (already first test version is released): http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?147768-SP-MP-Dynamic-Whole-Map-ArmA3-Missions-by-SaOk
Outlawz7 1 Posted March 7, 2013 I gave the SP version a go, much better than Zub, but I'm not running any mods besides ArmA2:CO and DLCs and yet the game performance went to hell after 1.5-2 hours in. Last things that happened were capturing objective at Sanger and a message I was getting reinforcements, then the mission became so laggy it was unplayable. SaOk 112 Posted March 7, 2013 That is a mysterious bug, it may help to save the mission, exit game and load the mission again.
Outlawz7 1 Posted March 7, 2013 (edited) Did save and reload, still lagged. It stopped after I left the Feruz Abad/Anar area of the map edit: I suggest changing the marker icons too after they get updated to 'captured by us', easier to distinguish. Edited March 7, 2013 by Outlawz7
SaOk 112 Posted March 7, 2013 I managed to bypass that lag once when I loaded earlier savegame. It was from only few seconds away from the orginal lag, but somehow it didnt occur then and I played hour after that point without the problem (stopped playing after that). A big mystery why it happens. I hope the issue is gone in arma3, else I return to create smaller mission. Maybe with same concept but less tasks in one mission, instead having the tasks in own missions which are part of campaign. You are right with the markers, I will try to have that in the next update. Outlawz7 1 Posted March 7, 2013 Oh and a vehicle flip action, I'm personally a champion at flipping tanks over the smallest rock :p
Outlawz7 1 Posted March 12, 2013 Played Zub again, some issues/suggestions: -when I got the Operation Zelenogorsk task, the chopper pickup was near the Zub castle, but the NAPA HQ in my mission was at Black mountain. -markers from tasks like Operation kozlovka don't get deleted and clutter the map, don't really have a use for "attack this" "meet here" marker after you've done those tasks. -I think the question marks for NAPA/CDF bases should get updated once you've found the bases -when asking NAPA men for friendly camps, the area marked as a friendly camp had no camp and was full of enemy -some side tasks like helping NAPA defend or tasks from civilians when I asked them for cars spawned like 6-7Km away and I'm on foot, some even spawned while I was doing the task of attacking Polana and had absolutely no chance of reaching them in time -I know the mission is supposed to get harder as it progresses but getting overrun every time I leave the forest is ridiculous, I called in an ammo drop and the boxes dropped in the middle of the field, by the time I got to them, two Mi8s dropped infantry on me and a T72 was rolling in. At least put a bigger delay or drop them if I hang around for too long, I was doing another civi car task that involved killing some chedaki in a field and I couldn't do that because the area immediately got flooded (didn't even know which ones I was supposed to kill) -if you need to be revived, it's pretty much over, everytime it happens the squadmates all get shot before they get around to reviving me, even had a case when the last guy just ran off leaving me wounded. -how do you get vehicles? The truck given at start is a death trap even before opposition starts to get tough, admittedly I never investigated the "soviet tank" marker to see if theres transport there. I only managed to damage, fix and use one BRDM that got killed off pretty quickly by a T72, rest of the mission I did on foot with tons of saving and loading games every time I got ripped apart. -oh yeah and the "escort granny" civi task is ridiculous. I barely managed to get her to move a 100 meters and meanwhile my squad got ripped apart by chedaki who suddenly appeared out of nowhere (was in a forest) and then the granny got shot. SaOk 112 Posted March 12, 2013 Thanks for feedback, I will fix many of those soon. I hope to have new version in month or two. I could include new stuff from the whole lotta war. If the dayz map will be compatible then I could even change to use that.
Outlawz7 1 Posted April 13, 2013 I completed all of the tasks on Whole Lotta War except the supply trucks. How do you find those and how do you even know you destroyed the right ones?
SaOk 112 Posted April 13, 2013 The hidden supply lines goes from Rasman towards east and slowly south to pass the mountain range. When destroying supply truck, a hint is displayed.
Outlawz7 1 Posted April 13, 2013 Well I've spent 2 hours in the area between Garmarud and Rasman and found no trucks.
SaOk 112 Posted April 22, 2013 There could be some bug with that. It worked at some point but I also had difficulties to find the trucks on later try. Currently I am converting A2 missions to ArmA3. Already released Whole Lotta War for it: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?153483-CAMP-SP-MP-Chasing-Grim-Reaper-amp-Other-Old-Missions-by-SaOk-converted-for-ArmA3 Converting Zub next. Also planning to expand the missions even more for A3.
dlder 13 Posted April 29, 2013 Hi, first off I want to say that I'm quite impressed with the "Zub" mission (didn't yet try the other one). A lot of great firefights, AI skirmishes and tight encounters with way to much enemy troops (which had to be killed of course^^^), but I do have to point out 2 things: Napa-HQ: a little more ingame-info on how the mission system works would be great; or just bigger, brighter markers. After they told me to go to the HQ in Black Mountain I searched the whole map for this god-forsaken hill and just couldn't find it. So I searched the internet and came to some dayz site with "infos" on locations. But nowhere did I find where those mountains should be.Luckily I found a forum post somewhere stating the north-eastern most NAPA site: and there I saw that little orange HQ marker... AntiAir Task: now this is REALLY bugged! After destroying all enemy AA and Artillery on my way down - I was lucky and could capture a BMP2^^ - and a quick visit to the "depot", I was left with the last black circle in the south-west. There I found a Shilka and disposed of it. But the circle is still here!? I drove around, ran around and even found an empty helicopter with which I flew around in and around this black circle; but there is NO AntiAir to be found anywhere!!Are there - as I read somewhere - 2 AA vehicles in this area?Where!??? Is it possible to, like, load the savegame into a map-viewer/editor, so I could see this damned hidden vehicle?Or is it just bugged and the circle including the task should already be cleared? (I don't really think so, 'cause all other tasks where finished without a hitch -> good work!) SaOk, I hope you - or anyone else - can help me out. I'm now doing the side mission to capture Drozhino and then Zelenogorsk, so I'm moving through the terrain (again!) where this ominous AA should be. Maybe (hopefully) I will encounter it now, but I'm not really optimistic anylonger :-(
SaOk 112 Posted April 29, 2013 The AA task could be bugged, there isnt other shilkas than the connected to that AA-task. Those are all spawned to random location with unaccurate marker circle created over them. That Black Mountain HQ have been tricky for many. I have been tweaking the mission little for ArmA3, making the unneeded markers to go away during progress. I could try to make that marker also more visible somehow. ru55lee 2 Posted September 28, 2013 I can't seem to get zub to work with AiA like you show in your video. The intro plays then goes straight to the mission selection menu. Do I need a specific version of zub? I have the latest version.
SaOk 112 Posted September 28, 2013 There is separate ArmA3 version of the mission, but currently its not working. I try to update the mission during fall.
ru55lee 2 Posted September 28, 2013 (edited) There is separate ArmA3 version of the mission, but currently its not working. I try to update the mission during fall. Oh. rxnxr23 10 Posted September 19, 2014 nice missions but why does everyone make it so you can only play as the imperialist united states or their lap dog western allies like the cdf why cant you ever play as the insurgents/non-white countries
domokun 515 Posted September 20, 2014 (edited) a) that's not quite true, if you look around you'll find missions when you can play as the brave socialists resisting the capitalist pigs, e.g. CWR2 Red Hammer b) the reason for this unbalance might be be because the insurgents/non-whites are too busy decapitating aid workers to sit down at computer a create something c) many of those who create missions are from countries where the soviet imperialist or their lap dog eastern bloc allies oppressed thousands of people d) they best way to get missions that suit your tastes/political perspective is to work with others and/or create one yourself Edited September 20, 2014 by domokun added point c) & d)

In my I44 mission pack - few missions for Germans, in my SP pack few missions for bad guys. On Russian sites you can find many campaigns where we play as "bad guys". If you search here on Armaholic you will find something to ;) Ps. Missions campaigns for Unsung where we play as VC/NVA
blow56 10 Posted October 1, 2014 Downloaded WLW and Zub and get the same result from both - they won't load. I get missing vehicles and text messages, but the one I am sure is the BIG problem is common to both - no positional information. I have the relevant map mods (I can play Whole Lotta Altis, for example) so I am at a loss to know what's wrong.
