Conspiracies 4

Hi guys,

I have got a surprise in my pocket. Conspiracies 4. It was a project that was begun in 2010, direct before Conspiracies 3

has been released. Well, I gave it up for months but never deleted it from my HDD. Well, I started to finish it, some weeks ago,

using DAP's great scripts and his STALKER-MOD. I will release it as a beta, because I had not enough time to test it that accuary.

I am buisy with Conspiracies Apocalypse 3 at the moment. But I will say, if enough people were interessted in the final one, I

will set this as a major-project. Remember, I done this by myself without any help. Thats why I have only Addonmakers in this

creditlist. I could use only the addons my team already done for previous parts and the ones who made others. All in all I think Conspiracies 4 is a great base to update this base with missions, additional areas, weapons ect...

Conspiracies 4 is a mixed thing between the original Conspiracies-Trilogy (1-3) and Conspiracies Rising Dead I+II. So you will

have a very great atmosphere, like in Conspiracies 1-3 and a bit freeroaming from Rising Dead. I say a bit, because the gameworld

is not that big as it was in Rising Dead. I used a method which is maybe still known from Conspiracies The Experience. You will

have 15 Sectors, and every sector is connected to the other one. BUT, in Conspiracies The Experience it was loading a new mission

when changing sectors. This time not. No loadingtimes except a 10seconds Loadingscreen to load the gameworld when changing

sectors. But its still the same mission. Some advantages: No loadingtimes, you can give the zone a real life, independent stalkers,

bloodsuckers, zombies, animals and anomalies. Everyone can hunt to eat animals, everyone can trap into an anomaly, you know what

I want to say. Also I can make the sectors more detailed, so no heavy performance drops... So here a short Featurelist:

- conversations possible to some people (ask for rumors or missions ect.)

- anomalies (thanks to the STALKER-MOD)

- in version 0.96 beta we have 17 missions (10 storydriven, 7 additional ones)

- animals, stalkers, bloodsuckers, zombies, wild dogs with independent life

- custom weather system

- acclerated night-day change

- flashlights

- 15 sectors with known places from chernobyl (dam, chernobyl-II, Jupiter-Facility ect.)

- NO own map, I am using vostok

- using BIS weapons and Christian.1987's G3 Pack

- new custom environtment sounds

- new music

- new loadingscreens thanks to kaap

- new ranking (buy) system

- melee-attack with or without weapon

- very good base to add stuff in updates...

A short word to the story:

You will play an ordinary man. His friend is missing in the zone during an visit with some tripguides. You will go in the zone and

search for him, because you are afraid something happend, because you heard about some attacks on government convois in the zone.

Thanks HELLFREEZA.

I decided to release a COOP-version of the beta 0.96 today. But it is not tested yet! Would be nice to have some comments then.

Here it is: But like I said not tested! I am not sure if it works correctly. I think dedicated server is needed... My PC will cause a huge lag every 10 seconds when hosting^^

Sled,

I have started to play Con4. Once again I love the way you carry the STALKER-feeling over to ArmA2. And i like the great choice of weapons.

Playing without any mods except Con4 and Vostok I noticed a few strange things:

Maps don't seem to work. I have one in my inventory, but the map screen remains black. I swapped maps with a dead NPC, but this also didn't work. Is this intended or am I doing something wrong?

Bicycle sounds are heard when walking.

I have completed all missions in the wilderness area, went to the arms dealer, finished his task and brought the ammunition back to the priest. How do I go on from here? I expected to receive a clue how to continue the search for the missing friend. Is the idea to just explore another area or have I accidently killed a crucial NPC?

A suggestion: Since we already have bicycle sounds, why don't you provide bikes? I think bikes would allow quicker travelling and still be low-tech enough to be credible in the "zone".

The map is disabled in the mod... But this is normal... Thats why you got the map here as a picture to print out or whatever... I disabled the map, so you will not be confused by the original map of arma2 and vostok. So this is normal... But the thing with the bycycle sound is new to me^^. I have a ordinary footstep sound...

BTW: If someone knows a way to display the map I posted here ingame, it would be much aprreciated! =)

At the moment vehicles didn't work with the scripts... We are working on that!

nice does this work with ACE?.

All so it says Coop how many slots are available?.

I all ways wanted stalker to be coop/MP where many players could wonder round and hunt etc and either join each other or attack each other.

Could you add this in future release or could it be added easly now.

It would be so cool to have my mates in diff slots/teams and we all go off on our own and do our own thing and say I come across my mate wondering below me ( I am on a roof) and I think now should I take him out or call him up to me and we trade etc :).

Nice idea but I think it is hard to do at the moment. Yes coop is available up to 4 players at the moment. But I also thought about such a online-mode...

I thought of some thing like this ages ago.

An wide open map with random respawns for all players.

Keep the enemy NCP`s for some thing to keep the player on there toe`s.

Loads of stashes for players to search for.

ACE mod implimented would be cool due to it having loads more weapons for stashes and all so for the jerry cans would be good for this mod having to search for fuel all so the any many other cool features that would make it more realistic.

A few side missions for players to work on with special weapons as a reward.

I just think it would be awesome to have a MP stalker mod like the original stalker should have been like.

So basically a wide open map where players spawn randomly and they go off to search for weapons and do side missions.

They will all so need to search for fuel and medical supplys (ACE has some very cool medical stuff).

So they wonder off and look for stuff.

A player spots a car but it has no fuel so he leaves the car there and decides a car would be good so goes of in search of fuel.

He goes to a farm and spots a tractoer with a jerry can in it (ACE again) so he takes the jerry can and manages to get a bit of fuel from the tractor.

On his way back to the car he spots a monster he decides to let it pass him as he aint gt much ammo.

When it passes he puts the uel into the car and decides to go to a town.

He gets there and decides to hang out on top of a building as it provides all round visabilty becasue its getting dark and he nas no night vision or a mag light (torche) (ACE all so has these).

He sits there for an hour (Not in real time maybe) and spots movement in the distance he waits and sees its a man (another player) who all s decided to go to that town.

Now when the man gets closer the man on the roof decides to take him out rather than trade or join forces as the man walking seems to have found a nice gun on his travels.

So the man on the roof shoots the man walking and runs down to gather the booty.

The man who got killed does respawn some where else on the map with the same eqiupment as when the game started.

Other playrs on the map are all so searching for stuff and may have even found some one to join forces with.

I think some thing like this would be great I could run it from me dedi server and hae it set to persistant battle field.

To let this dream come true with Conspiracies 4 Update to an MMORPG, I would need a dedi-server and a few players to test these things....

I know of a few peeps as well who would deffo put the work in and test as this is a dream for us stalker fans.

As for a dedi server ummm I have one I run from home but not a paid for one :(.

Maybe some other stalker fan would be willing to help with this.

If you do pull this off it would be the best mod EVER that and ACE2 ;).

Ace like I keep saying really would fit well with a stalker MMO based game.

I will help as much as I could but I have NO modding skill at all :(.

Damn you you have got me all excited now :(

Well even the COOP is not tested, so it is just theoretical designed gameplay. It would be cool to have a server and then to test the COOP first so we can update this first... Then we could design something like an MMORPG

ok well I have just installed it and will get it going on me dedi server and get me mates to play....we will get back to you once we manage to get a game in.

I have a family and its hard to get time on me PC tbh with out the better half moaning :)

Yea, thats why I mentioned it to the COOP version you will need a dedi for sure...

- add TDM and DM mode for several sectors in MP

I note Vostok says it requires Beton Addons, so is that needed as well for Con4?

i enjoyed first 2 conspiracies for OFP, it was before stalker and all, got great athmosphere. But for some reason, can't say the same for conspiracies for arma 2. Maybe after playing hours of real stalker.

The mission stops for me at a point, i get to the trader and he says: He doesnt give strangers missions (after returning the artifact)

Then i give the priest his ak ammo, but now there is no waypoint or active tasks..
