theavonlady 2 Posted June 14, 2002 Whatever I said about carrots can be done with celery and other crisp vegetables (radishes, for example). This thread is lasting longer than a carrot can stay crisp refrigerated in water! The water will only have a slight taste and discoloration. Actually, just as it was doing back in the ground, the carrots continue to draw in water. This is similar to the celery in the colored water science experiment we all did back in 2nd grade.
