Few other titles of the past five years gathered around such an active community as Arma 2 did. With a insistency as if it would be the only game in existence, fans provided the military-sandbox with fresh mission ideas and mods that set new trends and captured gamer fantasies of hundreds of hours. Though the love for the game did not appear out of thin air. It is the result of an incredibly solid and forward-looking grounding which was created by Bohemia Interactive with full purpose and without any regard to losses. Arma 3 does not make an impression this design-philosophy has changed. It's hard to imagine what will grow and prosper on the back of this impressive engine in the following months and years. By no means am I good at playing Arma 3, but I feel less daunted by the game than previous titles in the franchise. It seems more accessible and a lot of issues that players have had with the last game have been addressed. It goes some way to inviting new players to the series whilst keeping itself true for the long time fans. Arma 3 is a military simulator at the end of the day but one that many will enjoy.
