Why do you think there are new Ion passwords?

The Ion puzzle was months ago, before PMC.

I was aware of an old password. I just thought of the client section of the page, it sounds plausible to me that the username is MILLER or miller but what could be the password. Is that already solved ?

This one got cracked in under a hour or something?

Maybe they thought it would take longer? Maybe they thought the others would be cracked faster? After all, the images for the first hack were also quite easily identified, it only took ages to get there. That the codes where YouTube links was also pretty easily found out. It's difficult to estimate how long things take, especially if you take a completely different direction with every riddle you post.

And, let's face it, almost any riddle is easy if you know the answer, even if the answer is not "mellon" ;)

Hmmm...

400px-Miller.jpg

I just tried:

Username: miller

Password: 36877923

on the Ion login page and it lead to a "page not available" message, as opposed to doing nothing at all. Weird...

I think that there is something with the adress http://www.p8h8.info/

I don't think there's anything else there besides the code for sending emails from the xml. And I don't think P8H8 will let us access that.

But the older hacks actualy took some time and did have a deeper meaning. This one got cracked in under a hour or something? What the time was when someone figured out it was a ball taking down a wall? And we found a map from the first one. A submarine and a possible campaign or whatever plot from the bilboard. From the third one we found Miller and what we found here? a ASCII animation of a ball taking down a wall... It can mean anything and there must be some hidden meaning or lead to another, seems way to easy and uninteresting.

If your a software (namely game) developer, a "ball knocking down a wall" only means one thing. Physics Engine.

HTML source for the page is definitely clean. No hidden comments or anything.

Just for the sake of having something to do,

The whois for p8h8 sais it's registered via hostmonster, but with no personal name of and kind - only the hostmonster tech/admin/billing phone number and fax.

You could try contacting hostmonster and try to have them deliver the name of the registrant of p8h8, claiming he is a member of an eastern extremist hacker group ;)

Hmm, I can't get it to. Is it repeatable for you? Good thinking anyway.

Actually no. After restarting my browser that combo does the same as any other wrong combo: nothing.

False alarm.

Guys, I don't think the persian translation ("Which of us is our") is right (this is Google translate after all). When you put that Persian script into Google you get this:

http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/852/persian.jpg/

Which indirectly suggests to me that "what is on us is from us" might be a better translation.

Edit "what is on us is from us" is apparently a line from Iranian poet Nasser Khosro

@UbiquitousUK

See, that's sounding a lot better. It'd be great if we could get an authentic translation from a Persian speaking person.

Although I get the impression it's more of a threat or statement than a lead.

Is that perhaps some pidgin english version of "You reap what you sow"?

It is the same file, simply detecting whether any POST data is present. I've written similar scripts, it's not hard.

If that happens again, maybe we will not be alive next time around to say like that crying eagle who said of the arrow that, what is on us is from us (referring to a poem from Iranian poet Nasser Khosro).

What's "game 2"?

It was BIS' codename for Arma2 years before its announcement. The initial work-in-progress images showed a house being blown apart brick by brick. So BIS does have a history of attempting to apply detailed physics to its games.

The poster linked to has the same persian text, so I think the "what is on us is from us" translation is looking pretty good.

SD stands for China in CIA crypto which was in the map of first hack.

No, Monotone. LC may stand for China, but it doesn't always. I suggest you read the armaenigma wiki before you go around spreading disinformation. I mean, confusing SD with LC isn't that bad, and possibly doesn't make any difference, but please make sure about your information before you post.

What's "game 2"?

Game 2 was a project that BIS was working on after Operation Flashpoint to explore making an OFP sequel. They experimented with a lot of different stuff, including dynamic destruction. Game 2 eventually became ArmA 2, although the early screens of Game 2 don't resemble ArmA 2 or Chernarus in any way. Using this naming convention, we can consider OFP as Game 1, ArmA as Game 1.5+, and ArmA 2 as Game 2, or the result of Game 2.

Proverb in Persian loaned from a famous poem of Naser Khosrow .it mean's that Whatever happens to us is our fault and from us.The story is about a eagle hunted by an arrow which has eagle's feathers so it can go as fast as him.
