Server note: I upgraded my internet service, so I'll have the server up at some point, for folks to test out (I know sometimes a good number of folks show up mid-day to play the vanilla missions). Hopefully, it'll be nice and stable.

Hi, folks,

The FDF server we mentioned earlier is up. Here's the info:

OFP 1.96

Server browser name: TacOps FDF/BAS server

This is, basically, the old CiA FDF server (sort of in keeping with the inspiration for the TacOps WGL server). If you have the old addons, they will work. That said, it's not official, so, if you don't have them, you might need to wait a bit - it'll take some time before I can get them up somewhere (I don't even remember the list; if I recall correctly, though, the CiA thread might have it - the basic FDF setup should work for a bunch of missions, I assume).

My original thought had been that an FDF game would be sort of a "pick up"/one-off. It's getting announced here and not in another thread because of that - it's not necessarily meant to be ongoing. However, the server's up and might be for a while, hopefully. It'll be nice to run into the random "Perkele!" and barking RKs, again! (and missions I can't read. . .)

FDF was my true intro to OFP, and CiA FDF was my intro to OFP Multiplayer, so, this is nice!

I'll see if I can get a hand on those addons needed for FDF. It's about 1500 missions on server btw, no wonder you don't recall names Anguis (even if you can't read it) :D

edit:

FDF Mod is found here, you'll need both 1.3 and 1.4. Read install instructions, short version: install 1.3, install 1.4, overwrite files when asked.
