mcarma 19 Posted February 2, 2011 How about one person per character instead of mixed voices within same text.
SteveJA 12 Posted February 3, 2011 Have you tryed OA or the BAF DLC? In my personal opinion i think the've hacked it, sure theres room for improvement, there always will be, but it has finaly come to the stage that i can happly live with the voice acting. Cyteless 10 Posted February 3, 2011 I think the current system for the radios are okay, they're functional. But regarding the voice acting in the campaigns and missions, I think it's rather dire. Obviously for the next edition of Arma or a similar product by BIS, I do hope they improve upon the system.
dmarkwick 261 Posted February 3, 2011 I'm good with the voice thing, because I know what it is: generated responses stitched together from a library, then digitally altered for variance, saving on resources. Once you get used to it, it becomes normal.
lugiahua 26 Posted February 8, 2011 it's actually already a great improvement compared to Arma1...
Laqueesha 474 Posted February 8, 2011 Regardless of the radio voices, even the scripted voice acting is bad; even more worse. I think we all know about this: http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?t=96710 And if yes, mate...

-)rStrangelove 0 Posted February 9, 2011 All you ppl who find ArmA2 voices bad: where's your perfect alternative? The only game i remember mixing sentences in realtime depending on AI situational awareness was HalfLife1 from 1998. Don't tell me Call of Duty games sound a lot better. You know you only play through some hardcoded scenes right? That AI will say the same every time you stand there or do this?
KevinWI 10 Posted February 9, 2011 The bad voice acting is one of the charms of this game series, in my opinion. I'm good with the voice thing, because I know what it is: generated responses stitched together from a library, then digitally altered for variance, saving on resources. Once you get used to it, it becomes normal. Yes, exactly. Like Cypher from the Matrix, "All I see now is blonde, brunette, redhead."
rfd1337 10 Posted February 16, 2011 The voice acting grew on me.At first I really hated it but then I realized all the other features the game offered.Plus it's really getting better.
