So you abandoned the class system, after all?

And the fog was what made it feel more like GR.

Thanks for the updates and fixes. I still need to complete this campaign.

note - This version is for 9 player MP COOP.

SP campaign is on the way. This will reduce enemy forces but also remove the Revive. :)

Well done mate, going strong with this. Was watching some vids and really enjoyed what you've done here.

It will be an honor to send you our ACE2 version. Thank you again for making these GR1 missions. As you said on GR.net, ArmA is the sequel all GR1 fans wanted GR to evolve into. At least that's how I found the ArmA series.

I'm looking forward to the Georgia set missions. I'm assuming these will be the GR1 "out of the box" missions. :yay:

i will be releasing good updates for the missions shortly and would love it if you would convert them to ACE2 for me.

i actually have found a suitable map and will be commencing work on the first campaign in Georgia.

the class system has not been abandoned by adding kits.

i essentially allow several choices to the player for primary assault rifle.

a couple of AT choices

choice of 2 types of sniper rifle

and another hvy machinegun.

but really the primary function should not change.

yes, a player could completely ignore their class if they wanted too but in the coop i play with Legion of Sparta we stay true to our primary role but swap out our primarys for other primarys of the same class.

the fog on MP is not synced to every player so one guy might see everything and another may see nothing bcoz of heavy fog. AI dont see fog at all.

so to make it more balanced and realistic i reduced (did not remove) the fog level.

it still feels and plays like GR and realism is increased.

you will like the changes.

Just downloaded and installed the SP version, as this sounds very interesting. But targets and LZ are in the middle of the sea, some 2.5km NNE from Maruko.

Do I have some odd version of Lingor or any idea, what's wrong with me?

Yeah, thanks, noticed that by myself then too. I thought that Lingor here was up-to-date as I'm using SIX Updater, but no, that was the only island I've installed manually. :g::g::g: My bad.

Anyway works and rocks now!

I'm not complaining about the fog. That was GRs great feature.

I'm just opposed to grass. It lags me man.

difficult but not impossible - you would need to strike, relocate quickly, strike, relocate etc. and gradually thin out opposition. you would also be advised to take one medic and the TL so you have some revives available.

It is my understanding, the ACE2 modded missions will be released by Lightspeed. Of course Lightspeed has the last say.

There will be two ACE2 versions.

1)For Lightspeed

-revive

-respawn

-ACE2 wounding system

-ACE2 markers off

-ACE2 weapons added to the helicopters

-ACE2 backpack system with PXS packed kits

2)Phoenix Soldiers ACE2 version

-No revive script running

-No respawn

-ACE2 wounding system

-ACE2 markers off

-No additional kits in the insert vehicles

-ACE2 backpack system with PXS packed kits

Ace completely ruins the Arma experience. Kudos to LS for these, but play it vanilla.

Have to say I really enjoyed these missions - I loved GR in its hey day (and some way beyond it, as its actually still installed), however Island Thunder wasn't my favourite campaign - the original campaign from the vanilla game (with embassy a real favourite) is what I really want to see...If your looking at doing that you'll be my new favourite person :)
