Chill xl 10 Posted December 16, 2010 If the lad has problems handling the sweeter images, he might struggle with the messier pictures aswell. The ripped up bodies do look pretty sick from up close, thats if he can make it that far...
rok 0 Posted December 16, 2010 Well OP could buy Operation Arrowhead only. All the women wear burkha. :D
snake22brawl 10 Posted January 11, 2011 what is the ESRB rating (not "M" but the description like "Violence" or "Blood") for ARMA 2: Operation Arrowhead? also, what is the ESRB rating of ARMA 2 (just the regular version)?
Macadam Cow 1 Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) Hi,What are the "mild sexual themes" on this game (as rated by the esrb), I need to know for my son. Thanks! this ? :D But where are from Snake ? Cause on my DVD jacket there's no "mild sexual theme", just strong language and violence, for both ArmA2 and Operation Arrowhead but ArmA2 is rated 16+ while OA is 18. We do not have ESRB in Europe (well at least in Belgium) but PEGI. PEGI petit zizi, haha. lol, sorry Edited January 11, 2011 by Macadam Cow
snake22brawl 10 Posted January 11, 2011 USA (ESRB rates USA games). The "mild sexual themes" were on Combined Operations.
Macadam Cow 1 Posted January 11, 2011 Well I think the pic I've posted is the most sexual thing your son could be exposed to. And this pic is brighten up, you can't barely see anyhting ingame so I don't think you have to worry about that particular aspect.

TechnoTerrorist303 10 Posted January 12, 2011 If your son is at an age where you are concerned about sexual themes in a game then he shouldn't be anywhere near the language or violence that is definately present in CO. If he understands the language used by your character when he gets shot then the chances are he knows the true meaning of the word.
CarlGustaffa 4 Posted January 12, 2011 Indeed. This is one of the threads that makes you stop and go "wait, what?".
Tonci87 163 Posted January 12, 2011 Seriously when I opened this Thread my first thought was WTF? Some People do have some real problems with sexuality. I know you just ant to protect your kid from all the evil in the world, but don't you consider shooting people more evil than making babies? I guess you want to have grand children some day... Macadam Cow 1 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Comon guys, chill out, he didn't mention anything like that. He was just concerned by the "mild sexual themes", no one would be surprise to see such a rating in GTA IV but I can understand he's wondering what exactly is "sex related" in this game. If you want to blame someone blame the ESRB, not the OP, cause obviously something went wrong with their ratings, maybe Sarah Palin was in charge when they tested ArmA2, who knows ? Thats my friend is the earth. Every human is like that now...Humans they make me laugh......:D Well no, as you can see the European PEGI only have "strong language" and "Violence" while the American ESRB feels like it's important to add ""mild sexual themes". You can't say we're all the same... Edited January 12, 2011 by Macadam Cow
Undeceived 392 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) Actually another thing I noticed. Occasionally you find trash in Chernarus that I've found on occasion that has images of BDSM and people in bondage gear, I shit you not. If you go to the Zub castle and zoom in on some of the scrap papers you see some funny stuff. I went there to check and it's true! Did you leave them there? :D (just kidding - might have been Vishnoye's teenagers...) Nicholas 5 Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) ArmA II Rating Summary: This is a first-person shooter in which players command soldiers in a strategic military campaign in the former Soviet Union. Players communicate with civilians to get intelligence; infiltrate enemy bases; rescue hostages; and destroy specific targets. Players use a variety of realistic firearms (e.g., assault rifles, pistols, and machine guns) and vehicles (e.g., helicopters and tanks) to shoot at enemies that often cry out in pain or emit small sprays of blood. Players can also elect to shoot at civilian bystanders or friendly soldiers, but such action is heavily discouraged: players can be court-martialed or attacked by other civilians. Some dialogue contains strong profanity (e.g., "motherf*cker,""a*shole," and "sh*t"), and there are occasional sexual references (e.g., a mention of rape; a strong allusion to prostitution; and a joke about fellatio). The ESRB has a very useful website which explains why they have given such ratings. Edited January 12, 2011 by Nicholas
