Will you implement fully moving parts ?

On another topic, is it possible to add an effect where a chopper hovering low above ground would kick up some dust ? I mean not much, just a few dust smoke textures. I think that would add a lot of realism to the game.

Maybe you could do that to your Harrier ?

have two "modes" that appear on the action menu.  "fly mode" shows up when you are airborne and "VTOL mode" appears when you are in fly mode.

all it would basically be was some nice scripting.  when you are in VTOL mode and hit fly mode it would quickly get your position, move the VTOL mode off screen and replace it with the fly mode.  you would be transfered from the old one to the new one.  it would look lame and the ammo would obvoiusly be buggy but you could "disable" (remove) the weapons from the VTOL mode.  anyone even understand what i'm saying?  i take too much time thinking about ways to make things work<span id='postcolor'>

Although it can be done by scripting, that isn't at all convenient for the mission maker who should expect an addon to work like that without such a hastle.

Maybe all that needs to be done is an adaption to the PD3 that simply makes sure it doesn't fall out of the sky when it goes below a certain speed and that produces the ability to increase/decrease altitude (like helicopters) when under a certain speed.

I suppose easier said than done though and may not be too realistic.

It can be done with a script, but I don't know if you can actually add it to a model/config.

i'll be the first one to bich about scripts i avoid them as much as possible even if it means doing stupid things with triggers but i remember reading something back in november about it had to be based on chopper or based on plane for the flight models.

Not quite right...the GR.7 is an night attack variant of the GR.5....the US equvalent is the AV8B Night Attack. The plain AV-8B is the same as the GR.5.

I would actually rather a AV-8B/GR.5 since much of the extra bits associated with the GR.7 like EW attenna, HUD, colour map display Flir would be unfunctionable essentially making it into a GR.5 with NVGoggle compatability. So the attenna blisters are unecessary as far as the modeler is concerned in my opinion.

Now that is a good looking add on. Kegetys has kind of set a standard now for what to expect out of mod makers. I think this can live up to that.

I think there is a big difference between some one taking the time to remodel or start from nothing then the lamers who change the .cpp file for m16s to say they have a dot scope but no scope on the model.

i might make a ver of a HMMWV with it striped down so it can carry more ppl....
