Triggers, passing variables from in game editor to sqf file

So I'm try to set up a trigger that spawns a group of independent soldiers that are a opfor group when a blufor player enters a trigger area. I'm trying to use one script for the 17 checkpoint triggers I have set up. I can get the trigger to call the script, but using the in game editor I haven't figured out how to take the name of my marker and store it in a variable, then pass that variable to the script. My script call looks like this. null=[] execVM "custom\checkpoint. Sqf"; i know to pass the variable I need to put it in the square brackets like ["spawnpos"]. But it doesn't seem to be passing it to my sqf file. When I declare it in the act. Part of the trigger I declare it like this. Spawnpos = spawn1 (this is my marker name), I have also tried "spawn1" but that didn't work either. I'm sure it's a syntax thing I'm missing, any idea's? Thanks -

Wow i'm blind i re read the thread and see Deadfast already answered my question. Sucks to see it's not possible, guess i'll look into adding it as a script to a mission. -

I doubt there will be an update to this mod as its been well over a year since anything has been heard from the dev. I don't have any source files for this mod either. As to the suppressor thing I ended up using joint muzzles for it. I will look if I still have my old config for it. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk -

Like the idea of this mod, haven't used it yet. But looking into it. Any idea if it would be possible to bind a shoulder switch button. So say I was using the ghost recon styled one. The default would be over the right shoulder, but then you could press a button and switch view from shoulder to shoulder? That way when I switch my weapon to my left shoulder and lean left I would see more than just the wall I'm standing by. Sent from my Nexus 6 using Tapatalk -

The only site i use in the game anymore is the m68 cco with mag you did for me. Works great with the m4a1 CQBR and mini suppressor. the ACR isn't bad either, i just prefer the m4a1.

So i was porting DUWS to work on this map. It works as it should, however, some times it spawns the headquarters "off of the map so to speak" It spawns in in the large area on the right side of the map where there really is no terrain what so ever, just kinda blank landscape. is there anyway you can reduce the size of the map to the portion that you have put your hard work into :) if not, i understand and will deal with it. Also the guys at cup said they would gladly put your terrain in their pack but you would have to agree to their license and donate your source to the project. I would love to see it as part of the pack, but again totally understand if you don't agree to their terms. Either way keep up the hard work, my clan and i are enjoying running winter Cherno missions thanks to you.

Any chance you guys plan on adding The winter Cherno map to this pack? i asked the author of the map but he made it sound like it was up to you guys. Either way great work on all of the terrains. -
First off i love this little mod, great work da12thmonkey and co. I was wondering if you guys will be releasing this on the steam workshop? It is the only mod i use that hasn't made it way there. if not no worries i understand, was just curious.

From what i get, no. I mean you could make a config file that creates a group with the loadout you want inside the arma 3 config. Then set that group to the side you want it be in the init module. It would be like using ericj Taliban fighters for independent, and PG's merc's for hire as opfor and rhs america troops for blufor. I could be totally wrong but...

Any chance your going to update the M4a1 CBQR models with the sweet looking stock :) And the iron sights worked well. I meant round the corners of the rear site. But after using it in game i didn't even notice it. Nice work

i liked the looks of those iron sights. However it it were me i would round the rear sight a little. But that's just me. The rest of it would make shooting iron's not so bad :)
