    just upgrade to windows 10 for free. I dont think bis will use the fancy dx12_1 features..the basic feature is enough for reducing cpu overhead if bis decided to implement asynchronous shader u can expect significant performance boost with AMD cards

    DX12 not gonna help much since the real bottleneck is the simulation engine..

    i get smoother fps on the 1.48rc especially in 100+ king of the hill server

    i get less with 1.48..or maybe its the latest windows 10 rtm prob idk..
  14. It's the engine limitations..fly over kavala and see the light popping.. Then let the ai in ur little bird shoot u'll see blinking street light..dev limit it so it doesn't tank fps much...with dx12 we might see thousands of light source without much performance hit

  16. cores? u mean threads as both i5 and i7 have the same amount of cores..arma can use up to 8 threads iirc so i7 is not a bad choice its also clocked higher than i5

    If arma isn't bottlenecked by draw calls or graphics why the fps drop significantly when i increase both object and view distance to the max even in the editor?

    dx11 does boost arma 3 fps..switch to dx9 mode and try it yourself
