  1. I'm getting a lot of crashes as well now instead of the 3 fps bug (although it still happens) but most of the time I just get a "Arma 3 0x0000DEAD -" crash as soon as the bug begins to happen. The difference is I'm playing vanilla and still crashing quite often.
  2. I think you're correct or at least on the right track. I actually started getting this on other maps besides Tanoa as well (specifically maps from CUP terrains). But whenever this happens I'm guaranteed to get a memory leak that just keeps increasing the longer I try and play with the bug present until it fills all my RAM and crashes. When this isn't happening the RAM fluctuates as its supposed to and stays within a normal level for the game. But as soon as the FPS bug appears, my memory just gets all messed up and it doesn't clear, even after I quit ARMA. I typically have to restart my PC for it to clear. Also, which this supports your idea, I get this issue a lot more frequently when hosting, which makes since you use more RAM than a normal player to host the session. I'll try and see what level the usage gets to before the game flips out to see if there's any correlation.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

Yea I've ran into the issue few times after I posted that as well. Correlation does not always equal causation. Figured I'd post it while I still remembered what happened and see what other people had to say. . I've been experiencing the game memory hang even during normal sessions not on Tanoa and I have to restart my PC after I'm done playing or else it never clears totally. This was never a recurring issue until the Tanoa update. Also I was just playing a smallish session with some people and the FPS issue kept fluctuating on and off I'd be fine for a few seconds, then go back to the low FPS issue for a minute, then recover, then tank again. Over and over until my game finally crashed.

So I wasn't expecting to be running a trace, because I wasn't expecting to run into the 1-5 FPS low poly issue anytime soon. but I was playing today and ran into it unfortunately and noted some interesting things this time: - My RAM usage was listed by programs to only to be using around 6GB's or so, yet for some reason on the performance tab graphs showed that I had 15.0-15.9 out of 16 allocated mostly to something that didn't exist anywhere on the task manager (this only happened after I started playing BTW) I apologize for not grabbing a screencap. - once the FPS issue had begun, I was asking the people I was playing with about my concerns of this being a lighting issue, despite numerous people saying that lighting is not the cause. - Believing this was possibly HBAO(+), as this has caused issues in other major AAA titles, I asked everyone if they were running it just to sort of troubleshoot as some of the others players have experienced the issue in the past. The only other player who had encountered the issue was running HBAO as well. This is whats weird, because he went and turned it off as I was saying that (as I checked mine and saw that I too had it off) and when he turned off HBAO, my screen went black immediately, and the game recovered and ran fine. Although the memory leak or such was still there and I had to restart my PC afterwards. Not sure if its just a super random chance happening or what. But I've talked to other people who turned off HBAO thinking that too caused it and they've never had the issue since. I know ARMA 3 has had some weird things in multiplayer caused by other peoples mods/settings/etc. I've turned it off and I'm gonna play again with a similar environment to see what happens. Also I don't know about anyone else, but I've only experienced this issue on Tanoa.

Low CPU utilization & Low FPS

as mentioned earlier, low FPS in high population multiplayer missions is a mixture of things both server and clientside. Unfortunately, on the client side, ARMA primarily runs on one core, so your FPS will not increase unless you overclock your CPU even more (which I would not recommend as you already have and any higher may cause temp issues.) As a player, theres not much you can do for the server FPS being low. You've already done as much as you could have already. If you take note, the high FPS wasteland server you were on either restarted recently, had less players and/or less ai assets, and less scripts.

-I've been experiencing this same issue while using the APEX preview build and now the current active apex launch build. -Interesting enough I only experience this problem while hosting multiplayer serves on my rig, and also only on one specific mission so far. (although to be honest besides the apex campaign missions I've only played about 2 extra workshop missions) -Most of the time when this happens I either have to force exit arma 3, or it CTD's with a "0xC0000005 - ACCESS_VIOLATION" error message. -Although yesterday I was hosting again, and playing the same mission with people that seems to aggravates this issue for me, and it actually recovered after about 3 minutes of experiencing it while I was Alt-tabbing looking for a solution. -It did recur again 25 or so minutes later and CTD' with the Access Violation error. -As like most of the people in this thread I am running with up to date drivers. Just to add my hardware issue to help nail this down: -Arma 3 is installed on a standard 7200 HDD -Win 10 -Nvidia GTX 980 -16GB RAM -Intel i7- 5960X (8@3.00 (16 Log.)) nothing peaks while this issue is happening in Task Manager, not even the drive IIRC.
  7. Unsure if anyone else if having issues with .995 (lot of posts to sift through didn't see any recently) but here are some major bugs I'm encountering, both with and without mods: 1. After talking to a civilian and receiving a task, the game will occasionally break and literally play like a slideshow. The frames, only while in game, will drop to about 1 per 5-10 seconds. Escape menu if I bring that up obviously works fine and proper, no UI lag present. 2. After being KIA and re-spawning, the visual effects on the characters view after fully healing sometimes do not go away and continue to show up and distort the players vision regularly to the point of being almost combat ineffective. (One of the blur effects is really really strong.) I don't have this issue on other missions and previous versions. So I'm assuming its related to the re-spawning system and mission itself once more. 3. Attempting to resume a previous mission also does the same frame rate issue as stated before although it always happens, unlike the civi issue where its only an occasional chance. I cannot load any previous games without this happening. Starting a new game works fine every single time. Also to clarify, I've never had this frame issue on load/civi interact on previous versions of the mission. Other than those few there, which are always present no mater what mods are running, the mission itself if progressing nicely. A lot of previous bugs I've encountered are gone and the mission is running and playing a lot better. Keep up the good work, I love this project so far!
