That's not AOR, it's the Hyperstealth "Spec4ce Sierra" pattern issued to the Afghan National Civil Order Police. Judging by the patches on that operator, he's probably partnered with a police unit as an advisor.

That was at the testing stage, the final product is a SEAL thing. The one image we have for that is from late 2006, back when Paraclete was still the cool kid on the block and the 416's were still stock.

Any speculation was to what Project Orange is... is just that, speculation. I can't see why people cannot just admit that we need to wait and see. The wording is far too vague to make any predictions as to what "exploring an interesting and unique perspective on the battlefield" actually means. Yeah, I'd like to see that. The CIRAS at Shotshow 2013 was apparently displayed in both AOR types, and I know from a Mark Owen interview that DEVGRU did use the JPC at some point.

We already know what the Arma community would look like if it was entirely based on spinning a profit out of other players. That's what the Life communities are, and they're an utter shitshow of stolen work and other shady behavior. The modding community for actual Arma has be doing quality work since the very early days of Arma, and they did it all without having to extort anyone, or take payoffs from anyone. Oh and if you can't personally vouch that nothing in that "modpack" is stolen, that says to me that there's probably stolen assets in there, either with your knowledge or via someone presenting a ripped model as their own work.

Still, DEVGRU love their LBT 9084's and Delta love their Crye gear, patterns do emerge even if theoretically each individual could wear whatever they wanted Vest and Helmet wise.

It's not really true that SOF "don't have standard kit", there's generally some amount of uniformity. So asking who uses it is not a bad question, in my experience it's much harder to identify gear then guns in photographs.

I feel like now's the time for me to pop in and be a little pedantic. The M11 is basically just a P228 with M11 stampings on it. The confusingly named "M11-A1" that SIG sells is a civilian only gun. -
It is indeed for drop compensation when coupled with a magnifier. The idea is that either you're at a distance and thus using a x2 times flip up, or you're at close range and the target is large enough that you just center the ring on their chest. Holographic sights really aren't designed for long distance shooting. Operator types are typical shooting in close quarters anyway.

I'd love to know what you're smoking when you think an "Awesome" weapon mod can be made in 5 hours (try 3 months) or that modding doesn't require any continuous time investment (Apparently you think that mods update themselves when Bohemia releases a patch that breaks things).

Yes, the SAWs in RHS already are NIA SAWs. If I had to guess why the MK46's and MK48's aren't in RHS already, I'd say it's because other stuff had priority. Besides, there's some minor graphical issues with the MK46 and 48 right now in the public release, maybe that's why. I trust RHS to have good reasons for inclusions and omissions in every update, don't you? The RHS SAW is the NIA SAW, with some very minor graphical differences, check inside the barrel for proof.You asked if there were "any plans" to make an MK48 Mod1, it has already been made. Either download the extra 137.98 MB, or be patient.- 16550 replies

Bluntly? I think people are just really, really lazy and will do anything to make gratification a little more instant. New NIA update isn't on steam 5 minutes after release? "Better illegally upload it myself" says the Steam User. Is a modder not entitled to the sweat of their brow? No, says the man making requests, it belongs to the end user! No, says the man in the Valve legal department, it belongs to Gaben! No, says the Workshop pirate, it belongs to the impatient! I rejected those answers; instead, I chose something different. The funny this is there was one guy who wanted permission to upload an all-in-one on steam for the private use of him and his unit... and we actually let him do it (with some terms and conditions) because he was the only person who had ever actually asked instead of doing it illegally. People don't even ask before pulling crap like Mr "Amit" here. -

Okay, let me explain. Arma 3's vanilla ballistics are all pulled out of nowhere. Arma 3's guns also only have generic "FMJ" ammo. NIA arms ballistics are provided by a bloke called Spartan, who gets his results from the actual ballistic performance data of rounds in reality. So for example Bohemia's 5.56 in quite anemic, but the NIA version is much more powerful. There's no such thing as "stronger ammo" look: This is an EPR round It's the standard round issued by the US Army, and it's designed to punch through body armour and light cover with that big steel penetrator. But it's not as effective against flesh because it's prone to over penetration (going right through the target). This is an MK262 round It's a match grade round designed for use out to 700 meter by Special Operations Forces. It has an open tip to increase accuracy and lethality, but because the tip is hollow and there's so much space in the nose it's going to have trouble going through cover. This is an MK318 round It's a compromise between penetration and lethality. And it's what US SOF currently load their SBR's with. None of these rounds are "strongest", just doing different things. To answer your 7.62x51 question, MK 316 is a match grade round for long range sniping. The "Barrier ball" is actually MK 319, and it's basically the 7.62 equivalent of MK318, good accuracy and lethality without sucking against cover. -

The 4.6x30mm PDW round the MP7 uses has notoriously weak firepower, you do need to fire bursts, even against guys in chest rigs.
