  2. I could use some help with difficulty. Currently I've tested with _setSkill = [[0.6,0.8],[0.3,0.8],[0.4,0.8],[0.4,0.7],[0.3,0.8],[0.4,0.8],[0.4,0.8],[0.2,0.8],[0.6,0.8],[0.4,0.8]]; They still feel really useless at long range but a little too dangerous from close range... How would you adjust this? :)
  3. What about AI in buildings? In the past we've been using MCC's 'Fortify' feature - which causes all spawned AI to search for a building and occupy it. The problem with this is that the AI became brain-dead and you could shoot directly at it and it won't even duck for cover. If I set a DAC Behaviour preset to 100% enter a building and make them stay there for 999999999 seconds, will they remain in the building when they are engaged? I would like them to react intelligently (duck, move around the building a bit) but not completely leave and go into 'combat' status. I gave up on AI breaching and clearing buildings ( :P ) but I'm hoping there's other things that will make me happy ditching MCC GAIA for DAC.

    There's some things they can't/shouldn't reproduce, like SW 7.1 simulation on crappy headsets. I'm sure they're using studio headphones like AKG K240 or Sony MDR7506 (or better) which are designed for mixing/mastering. If it sounds bad on your system, well, that's a problem with your system, contact the manufacturer. -EDIT: Actually, I haven't tested 1.46 audio yet so I can't confirm/deny if this is a real issue. Feel free to ignore me entirely.

    Can someone explain the complexity behind the AI's inability to breach and clear buildings? I'm not talking about MilSim breaching procedures, I only refer to opening the door and entering the building, maybe climbing up the stairs to the 2nd floor. I've done close to 20 hours of testing of all kinds of AI (Editor/Zeus, MCC, DAC + ASR AI in a few cases). My unit had god-mode. I went into a building, spotted enemies, shot at them until they became aware of my position, then went prone and loaded Zeus to see what they would do. In all cases they would start moving tactically towards my building, sometimes as close as 1 meter away from the doors/walls of the building but then they would start either rotating in place or moving away and going prone while aiming at my building, or completely forget what they were doing. Not once did they attempt to breach or shoot RPG/UGL at me. I was able to pick them off one-by-one while they were mindlessly clucking around the building. I'm satisfied with the AI behavior when fighting outside an when moving but knowing what I know now - I'll never leave a building before every single AI in the vicinity is dead because that's the safest place you can be in. I remember a video by Dslyecxi from Arma 2 where he is pinned down inside a building, no ammo left (1 last bullet in chamber actually), he runs up to the top floor of the building as an AI enters and follows him and then shoots him in the face. I've never seen anything like that in Arma 3. How did he do that?
  8. Does Gaia work properly with ASR AI3? Gaia is the brain, ASR should adjust micro like visual detection, audio detection, rate of fire, movement to cover, etc.

    I've been looking for a good AI/Commander mod. Can this work together with ASR AI? MCC Gaia? DAC? I know each of these I mentioned is totally different, which is why I'm asking. :p

    You're right. Is it possible to add a command to edit between 0 to 1 to adjust the probability of breaching? Ibtested 4 scenarios yesterday and in all of them the AI didn't breach at all, not even once....
  13. Yes, that doesn't work. It only works while the AI is patrolling on their standard waypoints but when they go into combat, I found they usually choose a position quickly and then sit and wait for 3-8 minutes... Tested with ASR and vanilla AI...

    We need a couple of good looking backpacks with a radio built in for ACRE2 77 or 117f. I know Nou is working on official backpacks but it's stalled because he wants to incorporate dynamic antennas, meaning he has to animate the backpack's animations to every other possible animation...

    Indeed, that video is way too long, we shouldve been dead long ago. My suggestion would be to force AI to enter buildings when they are 100% aware of enemies inside buildings. It doesn't have to be advanced MOUT breaching techniques. I'd be happy if the AI would just walk into buildings like they did in Arma 2.

    No matter how well the mission is designed, if you can ... Well, ****. I made the video shorter, we were actually sitting in the building for an hour and 40 minutes before getting rescued. :/DAC IS mission design but unfortunately the AI improvements it claims to bring.. I didn't see it in my testing. Still searching for something better. :(

    Clive Barker's Undying

    I beat this game numerous times. Apart from the awesome creepy and scary environment and plot, it was one of the first game that had that weapon+skill progress similar to BioShock and they were all fun as hell! My favorite was scythe + speedy gonzales spell but everything else was fun too! If you're playing for the first time, make sure to use the 'nightvision' spell A LOT, it has double functionality. ;)
  18. I've been mentioning the automatically-goes-into-standing-stance-when-crawling-into-rubble or how a player stands automatically when you crawl into stairs. I'm not sure what the logic for this scenario is but if I wanted to stand, I'd push the stand button...

    DAC is a mod that helps you easily create 'Zones' with all kinds of very complex scenarios. Essentially making a mission flow more naturally than what you can do with vanilla/editor AI. It has a steep learning curve but once you understand it, it's suuuuuper easy to use to create amazing missions. It also slightly modifies the AI's behavior, making them less predictable and more challanging.

    Is there a way to make AI autonomously assault, breach and clear a building occupied by players? I've been testing with vanilla, DAC, ASR AI and a few others and in ALL cases they're either just switching to idle status or they just go away somewhere else... It's enough to lay prone in the building for 10-20 sec for them to 'forget' about you and go elsewhere.

    I've been testing ACE3+ASR+DAC and it works just fine. I can't say it works as intended because I haven't tested each mod separately enough to know their full effect, but so far so good.

    Numerous communities use ACRE2 on a Linux server. Test with only vanilla+CBA+ACRE2 and then troubleshoot which of your mods is breaking your server.

    Is ASR meant to command AI into assaulting, breaching and clearing buildings? I remember hearing about it (or perhaps it was DAC) but I never saw it actually happen.

    What kind of speaker/headphone do you use?

    Considering the poll is 60% 'Premium Headphones', might as well divide it into 'Studio headphones' and 'Gamer headsets/headphones' and remove the rest. :)
