    NLD Units

    Lowlands Tactical is proud to present a new release of NLD Units bringing it to version 2019101016 . NLD_Units, a mod that adds Dutch units to ArmA 3 in several delicious flavours! With over 30 units with 11 different camouflages accompanied by the necessary items and backpacks this mod adds over a massive 300 new classes to the game! To summarize what this mod adds: - Multiple infantry units coming with different camo's like: Woodland, Desert, Winter, Jungle, NFP-Tan, NFP-Green, UN-Woodland and UN-Desert - Special Forces members coming in Black, MTP & KM - Wheeled Vehicles coming in Woodland, Winter and Desert - Armored Vehicles coming in Woodland and Desert - Air Vehicles Armed & Unarmed - Support Vehicles with crew The units for now are (with a lack of 3D artists) reskins of BIS Units based on what we could find about our armed forces. As some may have figured out, it's been a while since our last release. As of now I am the only one left to maintain this mod, and with some free time I managed to do a sizable update, but the releases won't be very often or very big anymore due to work and social stuff etc. It's also for this reason we feel the best way to ensure the mod stays in working order is for to make use of dependencies which was against our original goal. II skin. - Added the DSI (Dienst Speciale Interventies, or Department of Special Interventions). Basically a very well armed anti-terror department. - Added some optional TFAR backpack skins to go along with existing camo's in the mod. - Added NH90 armed. - Updated NH90 texture - NH90 also has ace fastroping now. - Fixed the F16 error and gave it an updated look. - Updated NFP camo seeing as we (the Netherlands) are now starting to use them. - NFP camo comes in 3 tones, Green, Tan and for backpacks and vests a multitone that fits them both (to save on costs and logistical hassle). - Tank/APC/IFV crews now use the NFP green aswell. - Updated most textures on ground vehicles. - Deleted the jungle units and 80s units (these were projects of other ex-members and are not properly maintained). - CV90 shoots 40mm rounds now. - Fixed it so the tanks and CV90 can use camonets and Slat armor. - Winter units are not in all white anymore, opting to use the woodland vest. - Winter units no longer use the winter mx rifles but the Colts. - KM infantry has stronger vests. - Made the winter mx rifles and a very early build MX NLD variant appear on virtual arsenal. - All Glock 17s are now black. Notes: - Dutch Aviation Emergency Services can be found under Civilian. - This mod is made to run in ArmA3 vanilla, adding mods like ACE3 or other mods can change the experience and loadout of this mod (although it shouldn't matter).   2. Hey guys, So I was wondering if it's possible through configs to get my modded Moira to use the Marshalls 40mm ammo types? The idea simply being that it does some more damage. (So I don't mind it still stating it's a 30mm gun) and just use the moira's normal turret. Tried looking around, but I mostly see reactions to these topics from people saying how to do it in the init while in editor, and not so much the config. Thanks in advance! Edit: Got it fixed (yey). Used the ingame editor init to change it the way I wanted, then in the config used 'eventhandler init =' to copy the lines from ingame 👍

    Camo netting on retextured tank

    Thanks for the input, but no luck. Thought for sure I had it yesterday with the hiddenselection "CamoNet" and the associated hiddenselectionstextures .paa but it still reverts to the AAF tank skin.
  4. Hey there, So I'm trying to get a retextured Kuma and Moira to have the option in virtual arsenal to use the camo nettings. Whenever I add any netting or even change the setting that changes the type of camo (aaf, aaf desert, aaf green) it reverts back to it's basic AAF skin. The Kuma is already forced to spawn with the extra armor platings, so I tried adding it on that piece of code but no luck. I've looked around but can't really find any topics or answers about this. I'm betting it's a really easy fix, but for the life of me I can't figure it out. Thanks in advance! Edit: Got it working! For anyone in the future having this problem, you need to add class TextureSources { textures[]= { "\Filepath\Data\camo1texture.paa", "\Filepath\Data\camo2texture.paa", "A3\Armor_F\Data\camonet_NATO_Desert_CO.paa", (obv depending on type of color camo) "A3\Armor_F\Data\cage_sand_CO.paa", (same as above) }; }; Hope this helps for anyone else struggling 🙂

    NLD Units: OPFOR

    Lowlands Tactical is proud to present a new concept NLD Units: OPFOR. With NLD Units: OPFOR we like to bring OPFOR Units in the mix of conflicts where the Dutch were involved. Think about about places long forgotten or places stil being fought in. Places like, the Korean war, afghanistan, Iraq, yugoslavia, Mali, etc. In this version we will build further on the conflict over the MH17 airliner downing. We updated the existing russian factions and also have the ukrainian faction now as indfor. We have chosen 2 different groups to represent Ukraine. -95th Airmobile Division. -Border Guards. Upcoming releases will add more and more factions and varying conflicts to the table. The units for now are reskins of BIS units based on what we could find about that country armed forces. At the time of writing this mod is by no means finished or mirrors their armed forces very well. So please be patient and expect these changes in the future.     BLUFOR MBT-52 Kuma

    When I started out this video helped me out a lot. As Nightmare515 stated, if you depbo the vanilla arma 3 assets you have a .nohq, .smdi and sometimes .as all ready to go. Desaturate, color to alpha and this helps a lot to see where the lines are while you're working on the textures. I believe there's an advanced way of doing it when using stuff like Quixel suite (in tandem with photoshop) which allows for crazy details, although I'm not knowledgeable enough in that xD. Also I think Gimp was a better way of getting into it than photoshop (probably because photoshop can be a bit more advanced). I can give you a few pointers myself crabz, seeing as we'll be doing a joint op soon xD You know which TS to be :P

    It has come to our attention that for whatever reason, the armor values were not properly inherited on our vests and helmets. (and seeing as we have a big dutch joint operation with all the dutch milsim clans coming up in march) we felt this needed to be fixed asap.     hehe well actually first off, spawning the medic truck automaticly gives that logo over any texture we apply. Also the new crystal as they call it is actually in use for all military medical vehicles atm as a 3rd way to identify medical vehicles. If you like more info on the matter, just look for "red crystal medical".

Not sure if I should make a new issue on github for something this minor, but the leopard 2SG as Ace3 calls it, is actually a Leopard 2 revolution (as noted by the Rosy smoke launchers and sensors on each corner of the turret). More an fyi than a real issue :P Anyway love the mod, you guys really improve arma a lot ;)
  14. It appears you are right. The pistols we use are the cup g17's (could've sworn they were vanilla pistols :P). Quick test with placing on of our squads down and replacing the g17's with vanilla blufor pistols had the units staying with their m4's in favor of pistols. In any case, thanks for the help! :) Atleast now I know what's causing it so I can move on with it :D Edit: Turns out rangeprobability is way higher than vanilla pistols, almost to the point of being as high as main weapons xD
  15. So I came across something while using our mod units in zeus. I am one of the texturers of @NLD_units and starting to learn abit about configging, so if someone can point me in the right direction or know any solutions to this. So I was on Stratis with nothing but CBA and our NLD_units and decided to horse around a bit with Zeus. Now usually we have humans playing the NLD units so have not come across this issue before, but I started seeing the AI grabbing their pistols at ranges well over 200m and shooting the CSAT with them. CSAT and standard Nato, or AAF for that matter use their main weapons like they are supposed to, but for some reason our units don't. So I started testing a bit, we have some cup weapons integrated in our pack so I started looking there, but some units still use the MX-rifle, and they also switched to pistols. Carbine users, AR's, LMG's all do this. ONLY the soldiers using a weapon with a UGL keep their main weapon.(maybe the UGL counts as a weapon that can be used at 200m?) The main configger is also surprised and at a loss at how this came to be (but we're no experts whatsoever xD). I'm also not sure if this is a config issue, but I assume it is, hence posting it here. So anyone that has any answers or can tell me where to start looking? Thanks! :D
