When I try to edit the .rvmat files with Notepad++ they look like i would try to edit a DLL with notepad. Lots of different symbols only. I'm a total newbie to addons but I really want the armored SUV and some cars from Arma 2. Is it any easier way? It's for a small faction and I rather not use any dependencies. Thanks for this tutorial! -
Well. I've never thought of that honestly because I thought it would be alot of work and I literally suck at this. I'm just trying to make a faction using ALive Orbat. So I'm sorry for stupid questions. =) But I will look into the Arma 2 shit! Thanks for the tip! Ah thanks mate! Ofcourse credit is where credit is due!

Well I'm a retard. I was refering to these addons; http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24958 and http://www.armaholic.com/page.php?id=24909 In those two pages there are two non binarized files. Are those two legal to use in a non commercial faction? No Arma Life. As you may notice I'm a total newbie to this and I want to do it right from the start. =) Credit is where credit is due.

I was thinking of just sharing it on Steam workshop for the ones that joins the server. Like a Gay Unicorns faction. But if that's not allowed I have to rethink. But I think I've seen like RDS tanks and civ on workshop in other addons. Well thanks for the quick response reyhard!

Just want to get this straight - i can use like some of these cars if I do like an own faction to antistasi mission? Instead of dependencies I do one big addon. Credit to you ofcourse. I saw this on the armaholic page; https://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-nc-sa/4.0/ I don't know if it's possible i just started to learn doing faction with Alive Orbat. =) Thanks in advance!

I've tried to google it but didn't exactly find the answer but here is my question; Is it allowed to use let's say some weapons from addon A, and a helicopter from addon B, some skins from addon C and make an own faction addon? Instead of using a lot of dependencies and several big addons. If I'm in the wrong section please move me. Thanks in advance.

Super thankful for that quick and informative response Gunter! That was ofourse my intention to contact them, and credit them. But I just wanted to know if it was indeed possible or a wrong thing to do to merge other addons into one. My intention is like a said just to do a small faction to use on my own small server. So if I use this addon - let us say the OPFOR Fia and add an own made signature key and upload it to the workshop it's ok? Ofcourse I give you the credit. Or is it hard to make an addon like this myself? -

I've got some problems. After some time all enemies disappear and I have to restart the server, and just now when I restart the server the FOB Bravo is gone. I have some problems with the logistics too because on some when the FOB disappeared I cant cancel or anything. I use the Tanoa edition with RHSUSAF, RHSAFR and AdvancedRappeling. 1 Headless Client. Dedicated on Windows 12. I put some RPT's here http://gayunicorns.com/kuk/ Couldn't get the pastebin to work. Thanks for the continued work.

I'm still trying to figure out how to get it to work with scripts like EOS or the one they use in this mission http://forums.bistudio.com/showthread.php?168315-A3-Patrol-Operations-Official-Thread .. But otherwise I love it, and it works perfectly with @mas and addons like that! I owe you a beer, but the kiss will come as soon as I figure out the spawn shit. =) -

A big ass trigger did just fine! Thank you JShock! But now I may be stupid, but how can I make it change uniforms on more opforsoldiers? I tried like; if (typeOf _x == "O_Soldier_F","O_sniper_F")then, but that did not help at all. Like I said, I suck at this. -

Thank you so much for the quick reply JShock. Unfortunately the mission I wanna implement the script in, is kind of like a insurgency game mode and runs in on my local dedicated server just for me and a friend. I'm very new to scripting and stuff, but do you think it's possible to make a big ass trigger over the whole map, and make it trigger the script if opfor is present? And I'm swede, so my english grammar is a bit bad. =) -

I got it to work, and it's very easy to use, and I've been looking for a thing like this since the fall of the ottoman empire. But just one question; how can I get it to work on a mission where opfors spawn later and on sidemissions? I am not that good at this.
