Since I was stationed at Kungsholmen in Karlskrona many years back, it really saddens me that Tjurkö and Kungsholmen is not part of this map. I don't know anything about mapmaking in Arma, but is it possible to extend the maps? Is that a huge project that will take many decades to complete? :D

What features are fundamental to the Marksman DLC? (no speculation)

Agree with these things already mentioned: Also like to add windage adjustment to that list. -

Hey b00ce you can adjust the deadzone and input curves in the controller options. I made a huge improvement there with my HOTAS Cougar, simped rudder pedals and trackIR setup. I'm a fan of DCS too :D The deadzone is set very high default at 10%. I took it down to zero.

Those who like ARCO and Holosight, please vote for the bug.
Brisse replied to lao fei mao's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
I actually thought that was intentional, and not a bug, but WTH do I know. -
IRL the A-10 usually carries a mixed load. With the standard mixed combat load it fires five PGU-14/B Armor Piercing Incendiary and then one PGU-13/B High Explosive Incendiary. There is no way to change ammunition in flight.

ballistics ArmA III Ballistics Overhaul WIP

Keep up the good work Spartan0536 and don't let the nay sayers discourage you. Not saying they don't have the right to question and criticize, of course they should do that if they feel something good can come of it. -

And thats why I told Spooky Lynx earlier that he has to read between the lines on the second choise on the referendum ballot. I knew this was going to happen, and that the voters would be denied the option to stay as an autonomy of Ukraine. Edit: Okay, let me explain more thoroughly: The second choise on the ballot was to "Reinstate the 92 constitution and remain an autonomy of Ukraine". The reason I said people need to read between the lines is becouse Crimea cannot remain under Ukraine and reinstate the 92 constitution becouse the 92 constitution actually declares them as independent, thus they cannot at the same time be an autonomy of Ukraine. The second choise on the ballot cannot be legally achived. I hope this became clear to everyone today, after reading the article under colossus link where an Crimean official clearly says: “Crimea won’t be a part of Ukraine even if the ousted president, Viktor Yanukovich, returns to power,â€

So, crimes against humanity should be revenged ("compensated") by doing more crimes against humanity?

Pro-ukrainian activists got beaten up by pro-russian activists and russian cossacs in Sevastapol earlier today. Where was the russian troops that are supposed to keep civilians safe? Of course, they where off to some more strategic location, digging in, like if it was an military invasion. Just one more proof that this has nothing to do with protecting civilian population.

The propaganda seems to be working, eh? Edit: On the 16'th, Putins diplo-annex of Crimea will be complete. The options on the ballot is basically "Yes" and "Yes". The option to vote for staying with Ukraine is not given to the people.

Don't worry about threats to cut the gas supply. There is still plenty of oil and gas beneath the North Sea. Europe is not as dependent on Russia as the russians wants us to think.

I'm no american, and certainly no expert on the subject, but it looks like USAF are going to be without a dedicated CAS fixed wing aircraft for a few years until they come up with something. Multi role aircraft will have to fill the gap in the meantime.

Strange choise considering it's rumored to go out of service soon.

What Sound hardware for best experience with headphones?
Brisse replied to gimpymoo's topic in ARMA 3 - GENERAL
My opinion: 5.1 headsets are crap. Buy a good pair of stereo headphones. Do not look at "gaming headsets". They are usually crap. The Senn PC360 is the only one worth even looking at. Look towards "reference class" or "audiophile" open back over ear headphones. They are usually marketed towards music listening and production but IMO gamers should be looking at that stuff instead of the crappy "gaming headsets". I'm really happy with my Sennheiser HD650 and Xonar Essence STX. I also have proper 5.1 home cinema at my computer but the headphones are so excellent that I never use the speakers. -
How can you say that, when you yourself live in a country that is number 6 in the world when it comes to military expenditure. The European Union is number 3 in the world. Only USA and NATO spend more, and you know a lot of european nations are NATO members. EU spend more on armed forces than China and Russia combined! French forces are very active abroad. They currently have 36,000 troops deployed in foreign territory.

5.1 sound question re new headset
Brisse replied to -ami- mofo's topic in ARMA 3 - QUESTIONS & ANSWERS
Please also consider normal stereo headphones. A good pair of stereo headphones used with a good soundcard and Dolby Headphone wrapper will give a damn good surround feeling, while being really good at music listening and anything else you might want to do. So called 5.1 headphones is a stupid gimmick in my opinion. I use Sennheiser HD650 and Xonar Essence STX. Most people consider that a dedicated music setup, but in my opinion it's good for everything. I have a nice 5.1 speaker setup too but I stopped using it since the Dolby Headphone surround simulation works so damn well. -
I would not get one for just Arma alone, but since I also do flight sims I have one and enjoy it very much. Do you plan to use it for anything besides Arma? Do you have a HOTAS? Are you into flight sims? If answer is yes to all three, then get TrackIR, otherwise it's not worth it.

Yes, that's correct. Only position.

My squad don't seem to call out "injured" anymore. Known bug? I'm on todays devbranch build.

From my own experience I can say that it is an individual thing. Weapons that lock open on the last shot (most modern assault rifle's and pistols do this) is pretty easy becouse you can feel when it locks open becouse the recoil and sound is slightly different but it is a subtle effect and not every soldier will notice it, especially in a stressful situation so they pull the trigger and get just a click, then they know they need to reload. Some will even try to count their shots, but it's easy to forget when the shit hits the fan. I don't consider the reload indicator unrealistic. The game lacks the physical and audible feedback when the mag goes empty, so it adds the indicator instead. Edit: Something that is unrealistic on the other hand, is that if you keep clicking your trigger button in Arma you keep getting the click sound every time. IRL it will only click once, then the trigger will stay in the pulled position until you release the bolt.

Reminds me of that time an officer told me that if you shoot a 9mm from a Glock 17/19 at the front of a car, it would go straight thru the the front, the engine block and out of the back of the vehicle. Of course I knew it was bullshit but I kept that to myself :D Sorry for off topic, but I thought it was funny to share.
